I bought one and fitted it this weekend, I mounted it on the underside of the standard rear bar just next to the towbar, the one i got allows for 2 cameras so I will be mounting one on the back of the camper trailer as well. the only thing i did notice is that mounting it as low as I did the perspective in the camera is out slightly so what is actually about .5m looks like 3m on the screen. if you high mount the camera you get the opposite effect, they seem to be tuned to allow for the height of a normal cars numberplate, but in saying all that for the $200 it cost its worth every cent even with the issues i have mentioned
I did not wire mine up to the reversing lights either, i wired it to a switch, so I can choose when to use it, the wife leaves it on and uses it as the rear view mirror all the time, I did not get a mirror replacement screen, just mounted the little 3 inch screen on top of the dash above the heater controls
