I just went to take Erica to school and on the way the car started to run like shit... was not running on all cylinders.
Then it just started to run fine but as I returned to my house it started playing up again and now is staying like that.... smoke is pissing out the back and stinks of petrol.
When is this all going to end???

Edit: it had not shit itself but had chunks coming off it and did not look healthy but this was not the problem, changed to a spare I had....

I have just put in an order for brand new injectors... hope to get them soon.
The injector was spraying into No1 cylinder so hard George could hear it over the phone.
As soon as I pulled the plug out you could hear it... Idle has steadied to.
When they are all fitted then I can start the next lot of fuel tests.... ha ha he he ho......err... dribble blop !!!!!!
Sounds good man hopefully this will end the fuel probs.

A little update on how the car is running after swapping out the injector, the figures are coming back to where they were before and it is headed at this stage to about 400km to a tank... I will have an answer on that later this week.
I should receive my brand new injectors soon and then we will see if there is much in it.
Once the injectors are in I will run it on the dyno again.
Ok Injectors have not arrived but I have been keeping tabs on how the economy is going since swapping out the stuffed injector with a 2nd hand one I had sitting here..
I filled up with Shell 95 octane and have done a mix of winding country roads and town driving with today being the only day I had the gardening trailer on and I started to have the light come on about 20km ago (fade on then off again) and have not run out yet and have done 383km..
George keeps telling me to run higher octane but I am not sure its worth it with these engines?
How many ltr's per 100km is that???
Hopefully the injectors will turn up soon and we can run a proper test..
Mags has given me the green light with the sale of my trailer and ride on mower to buy a td42 for the conversion.
Geez mate might be easier to whack a carby on it until you get the conversion underway. ;)

i done a trial on the work car (mitsu l300 van POS) 91 vs 95 and dollar per km the 95 was definatly better than 91. Can't remember by how much but it would be noticeable with the amount of kms you do also.
the fuel economy is definitaly better running the 98 octane. also the price different IMO is almost negligeable. do the math and youll see its only about 5-10$ dearer for the premium fuel per fill... thats really not worth squabbling over IMO

Now I got 394km and put in 92lt's from Shell 95 octane... see what we get from the next tank?
