Looks like you get out of doing the move.... bahaha
Yeah wow 180 days to go. Roofy this is actually not the current thread. Interesting to see the poll results here though. The new poll is a little lighter
I will bump the other new thread with the current poll guys
Well know this ain't the right thread but I can't find it using MC crappa.
I'm officially out. Finally got onto some specialists for this farked varicose vein and yea. $1000+..
So yea. Sorry guys. Was really looking forward to it.
As rli said, always another trip.
But if someone could take me off the poll to as I voted yes.
Wow... Dropping like flies.... Might be a wa meet the way it is going... Lol
Still 6 months so anything could happen for any of us..
Scotty
I'm super keen!!
Chatting to old mate Dazz on the weekend. Not taking camper, I have my misses, 4 year old and a new born and he saw this the other day.

It's on special so ill check it out this week. I need an easy up tent to accommodate the family.
Camper trailer is more than likely not happening with me now as well... Mind you I have been changing my mind daily on this subject... We sort of figure we have all the camping gear as well as the trailer and the roof top tent is just sitting there so that is the way I am leaning at the moment!!
Scotty
That was the point if getting the 6 person one so we can put a double bed in there bahahaha
Just thinking about maybe if most of us are doing the flinders we could have a night in quorn on our way back prior to going our own way and also will give the local south Aussie members to catch up.
Is it a Southern Cross? If not it’s a damn good copy. Definitely one of the best designs around - most practical, easiest & quickest for one person to erect & pack & is spacious. If it is a Southern cross & has the ‘clips’ above the door to attach an awning, I have an awning somewhere for it you can have if you want it.
Yeah and the ropes they supply are even worse... the rope is too slippery for those grippy things and keeps sliding loose and the awning falls over haha. My plan is to park the car and roll that awning out so they match up and just tie the tent awning to the roof rack.
Will be talking to my boss once I'm back at work to get the time off can't wait
Will be looking forward to meeting you mate
should be a great trip
I cant wait, i have spent too much money getting ready for this trip and now my uni student casual worker is leaving to join the police if he gets accepted, bugger! But i have told my offsider that I am going anyway she will just have to carry on without me.
Still on hold for me, trialling a return to work program that failed after 2 days and has now been modified again with less hours / days. Hoping I can still make it though
lets hope you can make it Jason, more the merrier, i am thinking of after the flinders beeline to streaky bay for a couple of days before heading back across, i may even go to the old weather station on the bottom of the bight for a look and the caves if time permits instead of the straight run home.
We need to be home by the 20th..... Still haven't made the exact plans but flinders are in the equation.... But don't want to race back, rather do the east west run over about 4 or so days....
Scotty
I honestly haven't planned a thing. I need to start very soon, this will creep up very quickly blokes!!!
Sent from my iPhone using Motorculture mobile app
I guess the time has to come soon as to decide the tracks we are going to take and stop overs etc so we have an idea on the fuel we will need the supplies we will need etc.
I am happy to help with this but all I have is maps I have never done it.... First hand knowledge is hard to beat here!!
Scotty
I reckon Dalhousie, so that way people can get there earlier if they want for relaxation and swimming etc... It is only 5 months away, I would assume most people would know if they are going or not by now...
Maybe reset the pole so we can vote again( is it possible for the pole to show results of who voted so we know for sure)
Scotty
Yes Dalhousie it is so anyone early can sit in the springs and relax.
Here is the current Poll and most recent thread. The numbers are a little lighter but still a good group and be keen for a few more to jump on..
Confirmed-Meet-up-In-the-Middle-New-Poll
do you have any Melbourne meets happening this year ?
Nothing planned at the moment mate but there will be for sure.
Hey all, I haven't been following for a while. Whats happening with the meet? Where is the final destination? And any idea which way Queenslanders are going about getting there? (I'm on the Gold Coast)
Hey Kelly, The forum is meeting at dalhousie springs on the 1st July but a small group will be meeting at Bridsville a few days before(date yet to be confirmed) for the double crossing.
Hopefully some banana benders will jump in and let you know which way they're travelling
Big "hopefully I can go" for me.
Haven't done any trips remotely this big before...
Will be watching to see how this progresses while I try to work things out...
