Yarrawonga, just looks similar.
But I suppose every corner has a beach one side and a cliff the other.

I would think you snip off the line for a hook and release, and for a lure, kill the fish and eat it. Simples!!!
.......Stop fishing for life Mudski mate and hand your GU over to fisheries :-) ! Honestly never had to slaughter a fish to get a hook out or just cut the line as close as possible. Them freshwater hooks will rust soon enough and Cod have massive IC bonnet scoops to eat on going!
EDIT: Bait fishermen, single hook only usually for us mob!
EDIT #2: @mudski old mate, take your pick of the multitude of push-pull hook removers available these days, most can be done with fencing wire too bloke!

Got to let the damn thing go with the lure still down it`s throat. Waste of a good feed if you ask me as they usually die anyway. Had this discussion with a Fishing Inspector before, he agreed it was a waste but the rules are the rules.................
A legal Cod has to be between 55 & 75 cm, had to let a 90 cm one go last season with a $37 lure stuck in it`s guts that I could not get out without killing it.
Fines are too heavy to risk keeping them.
Had some fun a few weeks back on the squid. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum.../2018/10/3.jpg
Didn’t get many but scored a nice one.
Was trying for whiting but got zip.
Beautiful sunny Vic arvo, finally gave the Tinny a Spring clean out and thorough wash.
Completely forgot I purchased one of these rippers back in our early saltwater days.

So pissed I missed the Ulpuna weekend but anyway was going through some photos of our trip and noticed a floating log that disappeared ,could have been lunch I reckon , see if you can notice the difference in the two pics and how close it got .
Log that disappeared is close to centre of photo .
