I'm sorry mate but that is too high even without an ic.
If I was in your shoes I would be concerned with the play you said you had in the shaft and running it dry. Have you tuned it?
Again, in your shoes, I would start again.
Find a schematic of the galleries and see if its possible to blow out that gallery without causing further issue and get oil flowing that side of the block because you still have no oil going to alternator yes?
My priority would be to get oil to that side for alternator.
Sort that out and then get a good tune and let an expert advise.
I'm happy to speak to Andy at dieseltec.
You know what....... I am sick of this whole f$Łking thing............ I've had enough.
Try to find a part number on the turbo.
I put a catch can on the ute ages ago and the thing wouldnt idle properly
311301 can hardly read the numbers and in a shit position
So how well was it running before turbo and intercooler were fitted?
This could be it mate : https://www.dencodiesel.com/genuine-...arger-s2a.html
No.... I am broke... ha ha hu h...
Step 1. Get schematic and ensure when you blow air down that gallery it's going out, not into shitty crevices blocking other major paths and get oil to alternator.
Step 2. Either take that turbo to someone to tune and assess or throw it away and just get a second hand ht18 for now.
Step 3. Enjoy your hard work.
I have looked and looked for details on the oil galleries and I cant find anything decent.... there has to be someone on here that enjoys a good hunt ???
I'm not sure if this is any good to you mate... Hopefully you can sort it soon, sounds like a real prick of a situation...

This is aimed at Matty and George but texting this much gives me the shits...
Today I only managed to remove all the intercooler set up and oil filters plus other bits that get in the way so as to get to the bits that I was instructed too.
I pulled the alternator oil line off and the grub screw for the turbo feed and got a long cable tie as it was stiff but flexible.. it went in a fair way before hitting an obstruction but when I pulled out the cable tie it was covered in oil on both ports... I mean covered in oil.
So there is plenty of oil there but no pressure on that side.
Now I have not pulled the valve on the oil filter side out yet as I have been neglecting my family so time was very limited .
I am still not clear as yet and will have to confirm what I am supposed to do next with the valve thingy...? Its bloody hard to get to on that side.
Drain your coolant....
Oil cooler has been removed and I have inspected the unit and pulled out the valve and checked it was working.
As for blowing air through the block I think I was blowing into the right port but not 100%.. plus I need another person here to see if there is any pressure at all on the other side?
Right now I feel like I am fumbling around with my you know what in my hand??
I am so frustrated by this shit.. I had to remove the fuel lines from the injector pump and the starter motor to get to this bugger and is a real pain.
I am not sure what I am doing now?? oh thats right cooking dinner.
Shit jono, that really sux dude so close yet so many frggin annoying little things. . . Grrrrrrr!!! Should be enjoying it by now I can feel ur pain:(
Any chance you can get Mags to have a close look at the hole as you blast it with compressed air?!!!
Ha ha thought so!! Might just be the straw that broke jonos back getting sprayed in the face with dirty sump oil!!!!
I am struggling to get help as George is into shooting now and Matty has had a baby !!!
If I could only sort out this oil situation I would just take it to Diesel tec and pay the big bucks and have it all sorted out.
Even mentioned to Mags about buying another engine?? the look she gave me was not pretty !!
Fridays I am flat out with kids stuff....
I can pop round on the weekend if that works
Ay can you stick a manual oil pressure gauge inline to the turbo.
Also how could the catch can cause issues? It just filters air I thought?
I'd be suspect of the turbo mate.
Pull it and check it out. Last thing you want is to have it blow and send shards threw the engine...
Unfortunately it's the classic poor man pays twice. Take it to the specialist and get them to check it out. Spend a little now to ensure less down the track..
Everytime I woke last night I thought about unblocking oil galleries... just been looking at this diagram again and going off what Matty said the other day and trying to make sense of it..
The pressure reg valve looked ok when I cleaned it yesterday but there was a bit of gunk in there and very small wear marks on the cylinder.
Still not sure of what I am doing and I have just been told that Alexander is crying because he does not want to be stuck at home again while I work on the car.... I cant bloody win.
I will see if I can get even 10 min outside to work on the car before he gets upset at me???
Stick him in the car mate. Without the keys.
Sophia love it when I'm working on the patrol and just watches.
Flicks every bloody switch but still has fun.
Ok managed 30 min and this is what I have managed... as Matty advised me to blow air from the cooler side but cannot get a good seal so went around to the alternator side where I managed a solid seal and after a bit of stuffing around can hear air going to the gallery where the pressure valve feeds the the alternator..
I managed to thread the air gun in a few turns so I could try and fell where the air was going to and go a decent amount of air coming through but not what I would say blasting out.
So I still fell a bit like I am fumbling about?
I have also poked some brushcutter cord in to see how far it will travel and at best manage 15cm before it hits what feels to be a dead end but is likely a sharp turn and cannot negotiate?
I also put the car in 5th gear and moved the car so as to turn the engine a bit and am not sure if this helps or makes a difference.
I have to go off to run some errands and will be near Nissan to order a new oil cooler gasket and O'rings.
I think I have an oil cooler from the black top in my garage your welcome to try. If its the same as yours. ..
I have been past JPC again and had a look at an engine block and from what I can figure the oil feed from the turbo comes from the oil pump and the feed for the alternator comes from the oil filter/cooler housing.
Is there a product or can I use diesel to flush out the engine???
Just wondering also what the oil pump set up is like????
I guess I am going to become an expert at this shit also.
