Definitely been to that one! Craigs Hut. Built as part of the set for The Man from Snowy River movie. Don't recall a fence when I went up there though (probably around 1990).

National Gallery in Canberra ??
Aww Bob, I thought that one might have lasted a bit longer than that, but you got it in one. Well done.
Back over to you
Cuppa

Next please, Bob sit out please lol
OK here's another one from me whilst Bob finds another.
Where is this? http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...013/02/132.jpg
Ok, no idea but is it West Mac ranges????
Nope sorry , wrong state.
OK it must be SA?
Wrong again. Keep guessing.
When you narrow down the area I want the name of the Mesas/jump ups referred to as the 'something' hills. Approx 150 to 180kms in either direction to nearest towns & accessible via bitumen road.
Cuppa
Is it that jump country near Broken hill up near Pack saddle
Sorry TD, still in the wrong state. Not NT, SA or NSW.
is it boulia?
Oooo, Much closer Megatexture. Boulia is one of the towns I referred to in my earlier post.
Ok so we are surrounded by 'Channel country' & mitchell grass plains.
Name the 'hills'
between richmond and winton
chiltern hills
lilleyvale hills, cawpore lookout
Yup, that's the one. :)
For our round Oztrip, as you can imagine we had spent a long time thinking about where we wanted to go, but the decision to travel from Mt Isa to Winton via Boulia was one of those spur of the moment things, & one of the best decisions we made. It's a brilliant trip, all single lane bitumen, beautiful outback country (& characters) & was a real surprise to us (as all the best parts of travel always are). We camped at the showgrounds & got to know the caretaker/camel trainer quite well.
If anyone here ever gets to Boulia be sure to meet 'Dinosaur Dick' Suter. But make sure you have an hour or 3 to have your ears chewed, this is a man who has had one of the most interesting lives I ever had the privilege to hear about. Grew up in a circus, was an offshore smuggler & much much more. He now has one of the best collections of fossilised Plesiosaurs, including the only known pregnant example. We were in Boulia for a few days, & every time we mentioned to anyone that we had met Dick, without fail their first response was "Ee can talk can'tee" :)
Then there's the Min Min lights.
Back to you Megatexture.
yea missed themin min lights as do most sane ppl lol but that look out is a great spot heres my rig up the top with only 6000k on the clock lol
Nice shot!
We left our bus down at the bottom.
good plan not much room to turn around lol well not in that anyways.
so where would you find this light house.
Cape Byron?
Not many manned light houses left if any, Byrons would be famous
Sorry mate not Byron
Do you know the light sequence so we can break out our sea charts and sextants
and calculate where light house is. Only light house I've been to was on Deal island
in Bass Straight
I have been to lots of lighthouses but not this one, any clues like state?
Which are more famous, Nth west point of Aust, or Albany W.A.
Double Island Point Lighthouse in Qld ???
I think you might be right.
