I reckon the ally looks good , a bit of bling
As I stated the grade of ally used is far far better then your everday run of the mill stuff. The only ally strong is 7000 series and that is aerospace sort of stuff and high end suspensions etc. Its used for the same reason weight:strength ratio. They are also properly engineered as my mechanical engineer friend is helping me with them.Quote:

You can get your fingers easily between the tubes and body but I will try to remember to measure for you.
No worries I was just thinking mine were about that far away say +15mm and when it came to the crunch they now currently sit at -20 mm lol it ain't pretty, so if you anticipate some flex factor it in lol
