Yes but the mechanism to lock is the same. Its not the actuation whether elec or manual of the lock thats the problem. Its the bastard internal workings that simply wear out

Is there anyway you can see,,,,,,,, to prevent it wearing out,
or just one of the DX quirks,? LOL
EG hold the linkage up with a cable tie etc,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Ok so the doors open, now other than the $300 lock what other costs did you manage
.eg 1 case of Johnnie Walker, pkt aspirin, 6 x bandaids
I'm up for another door trim. And still need another new lock as this one has a fault locking now
Personal costs are bit of bark off me knuckles an amount of mental anguish
Positives I can flex my back due to the recent forced yoga

Removed the lock in its entirety this morning to make sure I wasn't having a brain fart moment or two
Small vid below of the difference in movement between the old and the new. It's fair to judge that the old one has a wear factor but not to the extent that it has 75% more travel

Maybe someone assembled it wrongly. I bought a brand new fuel sender for a Falcon once and it went from full to 1/2 back to full as some idiot had crimped both ends to the earth.
Try and get the supplier to email you a vid of another new assembly's movement.
I'll be ringing them tomorrow to discuss my options
Fair bit of movement in that lower one,
Hopefully Monday will sort it all out lol
