No I didn`t Mego, I had forgotten to take the camera along. I`ll have to buy a cheapie that`s water proof come to think of it, for such occasions. Caught nine in total that day and they were fun to catch.

You`re not wrong there and the first time I gotten a bite, I thought wtf was that it must be big. When I wound the line in after the second bite had gone, I went to bait the hook again and there was only the shank left. Showed the gf and no sooner I did that, she had a strike and had a battle on her hands. What are they like to eat? I have read mixed reviews on the web, more in favour of eating them than not.
Although I have not eaten one myself, I see many people target them off piers for a meal.
Being in the trevally family it should be good eating.
But different trevelly species all taste different.
Like the giant trevally was delicious although was a small one.
Then a tea leaf trevally for me was not so tasty, although still good to eat. Just different flesh and texture and taste.

I was fishing for whiting off the beach and ended up with the darts. They were all returned back to the water, because I didn`t know the species at the time and assumed they were Swallow Tail Darts by the name on the back of the measuring ruler and the look of the tail they all had. So I played it safe. A google search helped me out.

Not as bad as when some one tells you to use a jig and you do a little dance, then you get shown what they`re on about.
Two fisherman.
