My bonecutter is made from an old nicholson file
I have a very old file from around the late 1700 ,early 1800s it is stamped warranted steel, meaning it was forged [poured].
still in brand new condition, thinking it would make a very brittle knife , awesome but brittle
yeah might just do that, but will use another file I have here .
those axe head covers look awesome, well done
Cheers TD.
Just been asked to make a holster for a S&W .460 revolver with 8 3/4" barrel for a guy in NZ and also a rifle scabbard for a 44mag lever action for a local as well.
Both of those are going to be testing the skills especially the revolver as I will have to work by eye of images from the net.
The rifle is being bought up to me so I can scale the scabbard for a snug fit.
And so it begins,,,,,,lol you wont be able to scratch soon.
If any one is seeing this do some research on the symbols etc
make for interesting reading. The symbol is a Camel.
The toothpick must arrive this week, cant wait.
thought I'd buy an Old Timer after seeing one in the flesh,
first impressions are very nice knife, good edge, awesome sheath

@ OD I'll post that item over later this week for you to, just been slack thats all
as for making a knife from a file thats a hell of a lot of grinding,
might be able to cut an edge using a thin cut off wheel
Cheers TD.
