Well Jonathan has been to see Electromold and to get the finish I want is going to be either way too much time or way too much money so I will have to stick to paint I think.

Might be worth asking the ceramic coaters in Leongatha? One of their finishes might suit & ceramic coating wouldn’t be overly expensive - probably less than plating. Worth an email with a pic + dimensions.

Spent some time in my mates shed today... Got all the sandblasting done and drilled and tapped the shaft, made a cap and welded a tag onto the drum to tie the rope to.

Nah we have replaced the circlip with this cap.
