The bloke in the pic fishing is taking a BIG risk.
There are heaps of crocs there..... note this sign doesn't just say Beware of crocs, it says Beware of bloody big, nasty mean mothers of Crocs. (Well almost).

At turn of the tide, even though it's about 60km inland the river stops flowing for around 20 minutes & then changes direction. The crocs have learned that this is a good time to catch themselves a feed of mullet at the crossing & gather in quite large numbers. Better action than on any 'croc jumping tours' & free. Ask at the nearby 'Corner store' for tide times.
