I actually thought the COBB of Darrens smashed the beef, hands down, however there was another dish that had a heavy smoked taste and dark in colour that came a close second - sorry, can't remember the stick number.

I was a bit slack taking photos, glad others took lots.
Here are a few I took.

While I didn't get to stay over night, I had a ball on Saturday night. Yet another massive stress relief which I badly needed... Even though I had spent a week in the top end. The real world is still presenting a few headaches.
I had the pleasure to chat with many members whom I hadn't spoken with for a long time, if at all. I was surprised, and pleasured to see @Bob there. Great fella he is. Great to meet two new members, winnies bro inlaw and Phil. Phil, my kids did not stop talking about your pizza yesterday.
Also meeting the two youngest members, Felicity and Isla. Two beautiful girls....Plus seeing the other rug rats again of course.
@MB, thank you so much for hosting this event. And a big , big thank you for letting me bring two trailer loads of green waste to put on your fire. I owe you big time!
Me and AB briefly spoke of the Licola snow trip. Bring it on!
'Mudnut' is back safe 'n' sound now too folks so we believe that makes the lot of us home and hosed, job well done Craig ripper effort!
I think that might have been Tony's @TPC with the paprika Phil. Was bloody good!
One little rug rat i missed seeing was my little "sumo" mate Lachie! Can't wait to see him at the Licola trip... Haha!
Here's one of the convoy up to Toolangi on Monday.
Thanks for a bloody good weekend. We were chucked in the deep end for the cook-up as we've never used a camp oven before. Thankfully no-one died from eating the resulting "meal". Vote 1 the Cobb cooked meat.
That reminds me. @AB hope you haven't lost my 20 year old mug I left at the church after Roofys donk party.
Sounds like you all had a cracker weekend, bummer I couldn't make it.
They built it and they certainly came....... Nice one all, just look out, one day I might just manage to get over for one of these events, and id you're really really lucky, you might get @Avo too
Could of camped another night don't think I'm working

Thanks for another amazing (albeit to short) weekend. It's always good to see all the old faces and meet some friendly new faces. Thanks Mark for hosting and everyone for putting such a good cook up together, it's always nice to see the differences in ways to cook at camp, clearly there isn't a wrong way as all the food was amazing... Well with one exception, the venison was next level!!! See you all at the next one guys

This would be great for our next Meetup

Just substitute Camp Oven for Dutch Oven
I wonder if a smoked bread and butter pudding would go okay? I might have to do a trial at home

We didn't get to say thank you to poindexter as he had to leave for his slab of beer too.
Thank you mate. We decided to donate that to the winner of the camp cook off!
Thanks also to Lucas for the stickers mate, they were given out like seagulls to chips!

There were a lot of chats about organising our next meet up back at Licola Wilderness Village too!
I completely forgot about that so we'll have to get in early for a booking and nab that kitchen again!
Without throwing confusion and polls just yet, end of July early August?
We had an epic time last year so very much looking forward to it!
Yeah those times should be good for bulk snow, obviously just have to get lucky though.

I vote July as August has been next to zero for me 3 times running. Went in June and got absolutely smashed with a monster blizzard, but staying in Licola is a safer bet.
My god next meet up we're cooking this up!!!http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...017/04/307.jpg
