My car has still got a long way to go for this trip. Still need the long range tank (thinking about going with 2), drawers (which are being built right now), dual batteries, new radiator and I would like to have new tyres by then but my current ones will do the job and a front locker would be nice.
We'll mine is stock but has 175 or so litre tanks mods for trip will be simple don't want to waste all my coin

I intended to do a pretty quick east west crossing to get to the meetup then pretty casual back as I need to be careful to make sure I have enough leave. Okay this is a question not just aimed that Gary but to everyone, the tyres I would take now are a 265/75 Maxxis AT700, how would they go in that country? If I buy new tyres they will be KM2s which would surely be better but if the ATs are alright I could put it off for a bit longer.Quote:

Neil look up dolium in Perth, they do poly water tanks, I think they will be a lot stronger than the flexi ones and they are reasonably priced.
I might possibly join the guys doing the double crossing.
