Flatties are a definite favourite but I'd take pearly and snapper as well :)
These are the one you want. Attachment 32920
Hope she gets a lime pip in her vodka ;)
A big mist rolling in on the river this morning, a couple of minutes after these shots I had to put my running lights on as visibility was down to about 50 metres. Just the one flattie keeper today.

G,day, all. My young bloke is dead set on going after eel. Has anyone got any useful (and legal) hints?
The young fella asked If I wanted to go tonight. I chickened out because today we've had thunder, horizontal hail, high winds and I reckon the wind chill would have to be in the double figures below freezing...
Just a little more cheek :)
A decent morning session. Got around a dozen flatties, kept 4 ranging from 46-56cm, and a little trevally. Bit chilly early with ice on the windscreen!! This is Noosa, not supposed to get bloody frost here, warmed up pretty quick though into another perfect day.

Yeah, yeah, heard it all before... Nice feed of flatties. I reckon the Travelly have been washed out to sea by the local floods. Typed while the rain has resumed its horizontal trajectory. Hmph!
Flatties that size were once commonplace in Port Phillip bay years ago.
Who says you still can't find them.

The last one is a teaser for Lonicus, caught up his way.
Some nice hauls there Mego!!
Didn't get out for long today, and things were pretty quiet. No trevs around but the guy drifting next to me, fishing from a canoe with a electric motor, landed a nice 80+cm flattie, quite a thumper!
Always loved fishing Mego, just never had the chance to do it very often when I was living in Bathurst, now I can't get enough of it :)
Hoping this time to go fishing at Bearii leaving 13th of sept.
everyone is welcome to come, there is a member living there

What a thumper!!
Spur of the moment trip out this morning with a neighbour and his young bloke. Plenty of clueless idiots on the water, which is why I generally don't fish on weekends, but we managed to extract a few fish from the river. 4 decent flatties and my first Noosa mangrove jack. Attachment 33436
took the kids to the sandhills today for a play , had a quick fish on the way home for an hour got a couple feeds , great day on the water the weather was sensational
