For Aussie movies 'Stone' for a laugh and 'Wake in Fright'
Best I’ve seen in recent times - ‘Charlie’s Country’ & ‘Inglourious Bastards’.
A couple of very enjoyable black comedies - ’Sightseers’ and ‘Keeping Mum’
Another all time favourite musical I can watch over & over - ‘Bran Nue Day’.
Biggest disappointments were ‘Red Dog’ & ‘Tracks’. Both were ok & worth watching but I had expected more.
red dog was awesome i reckon cuppa! dont know which version you watched but by the end of it, it had be all emotional inside and may have even dropped a cheeky tear of two. i watched another aussie flick reccomended by jonathon recently, called son of a gun. not bad, and its always good to see a movie where its not all american accents, and besides i reckon ewen macgregor is a pretty cool actor also.
My missus reckons Red Dog was awesome,
Plus Russell Crow in the Water diviner and War horse
Watched TROY last night but not a fan of CGI movies
like the new Mad Max
Yeah, red dog my whole family watched it and loved it.

I saw it on Saturday night. I was very skeptical about it. Trying to compare it to the previous ones. But I have to say I liked it. There was action from start to finish, with not a lot of no action parts. The work on the cars they had to make for the film were really good. A lot of aussie actors in it, John Howard, Angus Sampson and Megan Gale played a part, plus Zoe Kravitz ( Lenny Kravitz's daughter) and Rosie Huntington, a Victoria's Secret model. Don't try to compare it to the older MM films though. While it runs along the same story line, its very different to watch. The CGI was pretty good and not over done right through the movie, like San Andreas looks like it is.
If you like action films I would definitely say, go see this.

Mad Max? What mudski said only more so. I was really impressed.
Haven't seen it yet, but have only heard good this about it.
Mad max was awesome.
Watched The Imitation game last night I thought that it was very interesting and thoughtful. Good movie 8/10
