I drove the Patrol to work today. 25k there and back of suburban driving. Fark me! It’s actually a joy to drive it! It’s never gone so good. The different setup with the boost controller has obviously done the engine good. Way less soot and boost is coming on a lot earlier and holding it high in the revs too.
It’s a whole new beast to drive now.

That's because you are using a proper boost tee instead of a needle valve. A needle valve will always allow flow through unless it is completely closed. So effectively you were always slowly bleeding to your wastegate and having it open before it should have been. The turbosmart one is like a relief valve. You are adjust the spring tension to an opening point. Once this point is reached the valve opens and allows the wastegate to open and control boost. This has its limitations and is why electronic controllers are so good.Quote:

It will most likely be right. I, myself always like to have each thing have its own supply and also be supplied from closest to what's being fed into the engine. So usually in the intake manifold. As you have will be fine.Quote:
