Complete with blue printing, head work, 12mm pump, injectors, turbo, water rail, their water pump, machining and labour and whatever else they did is 13k'ish. One of the large costs was the balancing and bluprinting. A necessary evil is suppose.
I jokingly had a go at him as they didnt even paint the exhaust manifold, and its got surface rust on it already. Ill take a can of paint in for them tomorrow as a hint. Lol.
As for the turbo ben im shit house with the numbers but he did mention a while back of a gtx3074 or sometihng like that. He was talking about so many things it just went over my head.

Well, if everything works, i.e loom works, starts and runs, i dont see theres a crap load to do. The longest bit would be removal of the anchor, cut and then reweld the new mounts. Pretty meuch everything else is either already in there, or sitting in boxes in the back of the car. All oem fits parts so.... Dunno. They know i need it run in and ready for the school holidays as we are driving up to the gold coast. So in my head im thinking if they go at it and dont stop until its done they could do it witihn a week. But my last thought on how long it would take to build the motor blew out by about 4 weeks. So who knows.

Sounds good mudski you wont know yourself.
I hope they give you all the paperwork for the blue printing and balancing.
I know your excited as well mate but you really need to know where your money is going. Its also good knowledge to having knowing what is sitting under your bonnet.
Have to say quite jealous markie, should be a bloody good motor that will be reliable for a very long time. You've gone about it the right way getting everything done properly, price sounds pretty reasonable really. . .
Thanks guys. I think the final build price will be a tad more though. As for specifics, on accuracy on balancing. I didnt get time today, this guys phone doesnt stop ringing every time im there. Anyone whos been there knows. Anyhow im sure to get the specifics soon...

He said they'll tune it to 140'ish, but when the motor is run in well they'll re tune it for more, around the 160 mark or more. I'm tipping I'll be happy with 140 though.
There it goes, good bye ZD30, helloooooo TD42T!

Maybe for the first month or two you'll be happy... especially if it just a matter of a new tune to get more power mate you'll be all over that.
I can get it in the garage with the bigger tyres on, only just.

Last night on work call out, and then bring on the weekend !

I might have found my next Patrol!
Whats the chances of a baby male Galah landing on your arm at a road construction site.
Well it happened to my eldest yesterday, it has a ring on its leg, very quiet compared to
my other galah.,,,,,,,,,,,,,so far lol
It's a 1986 MK SWB deluxe with an SD33T.
I thought it might be a nice change of pace from my current daily, which is a 1986 MK SWB deluxe SD33T
:p
There are a couple of differences though... it's silver, has A/C and is 170,000km younger.
It looks super tidy too, which is why I'm interested in it.
I found a new friend today.

Driving through the black spur yesterday from Marysville I passed a Y62 that just had a fantasti note as he powered out of the corner! not sure what engine / exhaust work was done, but it certainly was impressive!

Had some good news with my sons battle with cancer yesterday, he had a blood test after 2 weeks of chemo treatment and the cancer markers are now less then 1 tenth of what they were before the treatment started so the chemo is doing its job.
Even the oncologist was surprised at how good the results were, long way to go yet but I believe he will definitely beat this. And more importantly, he believes he will beat it too.
