A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, 'Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'
The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.
The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.
The Lord said, 'You have seen Hell.'
They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.
There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.
The holy man said, 'I don't understand.'
'It is simple,' said the Lord. 'It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism. To steal from many is research.

Fable of the Porcupine
It was the coldest winter ever.
Many animals died because of the cold.
The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together. They were covered and protected, but the quills of each wounded the closest companion.
After a while, they decided to distance themselves, and they began to die, alone and frozen. They had to make a choice: either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth.
Wisely, they decided to go back to being together.
They learned to live with the little wounds that were caused by their close relationships because the most important part was the heat that came from the others.
They were able to survive.
The best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but the one that forms when individuals learn to live with the imperfections and admire the good qualities of others.
The Moral of the story:
"LEARN TO LOVE THE PRICKS IN YOUR LIFE."

only by losing interest in living.”

"Lefty: There's the boss. And, under him, there's the skipper. You know how this works?
Donnie Brasco: Yeah, it's like in the army.
Lefty: Bullshit. The army is some guy you don't know telling you to go whack some other guy you don't know."

“No one can depress you.
No one can make you anxious.
No one can hurt your feelings.
No one can make you anything
other than what you allow inside.”
Forgiveness is not about the people who hurt you.
Whatever they did was probably more about them, their world and their problems than about us.
In letting them off the hook we will find freedom.
Everyone has issues to deal with, none of which is our business.
Our business is our peace of mind, our happiness.
