While we can get uo to date info from Janderson [thanks]
We might be able to get onto River rd up stream from Bearii
Via Haynes rd . earth google. Some great camps along that section
How about you guys find a fishing spot downstream closer to the border and maybe a few guys from SA might join you for a weekend.
Too bloody far for us to go to Bearii.
Would be interested in a trip up robinvale way in the future.
Do we have any members from around that way ???

Don't know what the recent severe weather conditions are. We had about 22mm rain 2 weeks ago, not much since though. Over reaction again by National Parks.
Change of conditions
Well since last update we have had 1.5mm of rain. But it’s a severe weather conditions according to the Barmah National Park people. Any excuse to keep us out. As a local I’m really getting pissed off. Before it was a National Park we had no problems. We were promised it would not change when it was turned into a National Park. Bullshit.

Haveing a a coffee and away we go , should be a good day !

Bit of an update from Mrs Mego's favourite part of the world.
Spent a few weeks exploring the shoreline fishing spots and spent most of the time at Munna beach, which produced plenty of bream, best of which was 38cm, a couple of tailor, best about 2.5kg, and a few hairtail caught on poppers. A regular fishing partner on the beach picked up golden trevally and a nice mulloway as well as plenty of bream over the weeks.
Picked up a nice little boat a couple of weeks ago, local 2nd hand 4.25 Ally Craft, and have been busy testing out spots and lures with some success. Quite a few flatties coming over the side, even caught a tagged flattie on Saturday, and some horse whiting caught on a popper last week.
The weather at the moment is brilliant so I'll be hitting the water a lot and will post up any significant captures, if any.

sorry for the delay mego , fish were sold before i got a photo but 70 kg snapper and 1 pearly had a really relaxed day . conditions were sensational no roll on , and no wind bar was flat as , and an awsome sunrise , kept the pearly for dinner . no sharks around but plenty of whales
bloody oath does not get much better , the fishing was easy , the fish were exactly where they should be and pretty much a fish evey drop . when we got back to the ramp ,talking to a few blokes who reckoned that there were no fish around outside and only had a couple on board ,
Thanks for the update. Just remember that my turn will come where I will be living in a mansion on Noosa river sipping vodka lime soda whilst your paddling your 'row row row your boat down the stream'. Ohhhh and mick will be setting up his gear in a 40 ft luxury liner waving as you loose your paddle in the water.
Anyway, on a more polite note hope you are enjoying life in my town. Send us pics.
So true mego keep it simple , and I mean simple , we use very bssic quality gear , no braid wont even let it on the boat , no flash leader or any sort of leader when offshore . No bottom bashers , and hold the rod . Fish the moon . Leed up is best and just because you dont see fish on the sounder doesn't mean there not there , no run (current) no fun
Steve
Wannabe fisho's, read and memorise the above.
It is written in the gospel.

Amen
Does anybody know if your allowed to camp out at lake burrumbeet
Missed that bit in the bible about the sounder, follow me and I will make you fishers of men.
Got a full set of meds might call the troops together and throw in a line, when Janderson tells me the gates are open
40 footer is way too big for flatty fishing, silly woman :) All the best with the mansion though! Just in case you forgot what your town looks like, here's a pic from a few weeks ago taken at Munna beach. Attachment 32904
