Yeah I got the email too.
I've replied ....
That is unfortunate to hear, however I bought the item for an advertised price and I expect to receive it at that price. If this doesn't happen I will be lodging a formal complaint with ebay as there is no way they would allow the advert to remain knowing that your account was hacked.
You have clearly made a typo and are trying to get out of it.
I expect to receive notification on Tuesday that the item has been shipped, 1 business day after payment has been made.
Just got a reply from him
Thank you for your quick response.
I am sorry again about this problem.
We hope you understand that as our account was hacked and the price was changed without our permission, we were not intend to sell the item at such low price. How about we issue full refund then add more $10 as compensation for this mistake?
Please respond to confirm, thanks and sorry again.
This is starting to smell like a scam. Offering refunds to get bank details. If you's get a bar for that price, I'll be disappointed, but the way this is panning out at the moment I'm glad I passed.
Now the interesting thing about this is that the Seller continually updated their add and change the quantity available to continue selling them... I can't imagine a Hacker doing that? The Hacker would just set the quantity to 500 or something?
They already have some poor feedback, eBay will shut them down if they get much more. that's what happened to Hobbsie a few years ago! The feedback caught p with him.
I have not responded to them just yet but am watching your correspondence with interest and will probably send a similar one tomorrow.
I think I'm happy to accept a refund as we all knew it was too good to be true
Cheaper to give up to 100 bucks I reckon than the item they will try these tactics to get out of it cheaply. Someone smarter than me should write a response and we all copy and paste show unity and stick it to them
