So the first bit on the left is an adaptor so it can fit over the Nissan bottle jack, piston head, I suppose you call it. The middle bit is just an extension piece, which fits over the first bit, so the vehicle can be lifted higher that what the jack can.The third bit, on the right fits on either the left of middle bit, or both together if needed, and goes under your axle when jacking up.

These are handy so you can use the OEM bottle jack when you have bigger tyres.

I was heading out for a quick fishing trip to the favourite 'Burgoynes Gap' locale and needed to replace a squealing belt - called upon Mark @mudski and he responded in brilliant fashion as normal, arranged so i could pick up the belts at the supplier, and had them fitted the same morning. Brilliant help, took the background high rev squeal away, once again amazing co-operation, encourage all members with any automotive parts requirements to reach out to him.

I've been getting bits and bobs through him when he had the parts shop. And for many years now the servicing kits AND the Green belts. Top of the line.

OK thanks, that does make sense. I just use a block or similar under the jack. I carry a small slab of 3/4" formply to form a decent base and can even build up under that with dirt or bits of saplings etc - do what ever is needed at the time. But almost 200k km and I have never had to use the jack, at least on my own vehicle.

I went thru the selection process today with Dobinsons for a new set of rear coils. I am sitting 12-15mm down at the rear with empty tanks and unloaded, and want to get rid of the airbags. I gave them the loads on front and rear and the preferred lift above standard - 50mm, and it spat out a couple of options right up to military rated coils - very impressive. I have decided to go with a set of 250-400kg variable coils with 100mm lift, should result in a lift of 30mm above what i have now and the truck will sit nice and unremarkable to PLOD. They are C45-315T coils, 22mm dia wire, pick up monday.

Good to hear someone else espousing properly rated coils over chucking in airbags. Your chassis will thank you.
Let tougher variable-rate springs do their thing via that torsion effect.
Don’t transfer direct load to the chassis through air bag-stiffened springs.
Won’t see your chassis broken in half down the track.
Install spring tower braces too as best practice.

Brand new ARB GQ bulbar. Its listed as clearance item, not sure how much it would cost new.
