Picked up new double swag from Southern Cross Canvas just in time. . Getting a bit of rain coming so she's in the yard for a good season. . Fits in the ARB storm bag perfect too FTW[emoji106][emoji106]https://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/foru...2024/06/32.jpg

Eats roots, shoots and leaves.
Great choice Rossco. I've been donning their wheel bag for a while.

Omg that looks very similar to the dodgy brothers bag Attachment 88078
Had a win this weekend.
Had to lift the draw system a bit to get it off the tailgate so the draw didn't rub and cut the straps for the tailgate bag.
So 12mm lift has got it clear.
Finished fridge surround. Though part way into it (as you do....) let's change it to give me a window storage area..........
So another sheet of ply lol and were into it.
Plan is window spot will have recovery gear, etc, in it..
I was thinking of putting the fire extinguisher in there to but it just took up so much space..
I trimmed the tent poles a little and now they fit along side the fridge..
Clothing and sleeping bags will be above fridge.
Water cans will be in with fridge.
Hopefully now with recovery gear out of the draws I'll put a 'lite' tool kit toghter into an expedition box on the rack..
2 major jobs left now.
Lighting..
And a mount to hold the gas bottle, jerry can, expedition box down with maxtracks along side it all.. I can't justify the $400 ish bucks for the arb mounts to hold the gas bottle and jerry can for 1 trip lol..
23 days to go!!https://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/foru...2024/06/34.jpghttps://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/foru...2024/06/35.jpghttps://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/foru...2024/06/36.jpg
Love this clever thinking, great value adding

We are READY! Done as much meal prep as we are willing, car is prepared, we've done some trial trips and now we're keen as anything to hit the road!

ARB have let me down, after having booking for 2 months they cancelled day before fitting. Have decided to use the GU for this trip as it is already set up.
Tell em to shove it and go the Raslarr Hooped front and rear bars mate. They look significantly better than the ARB Summit. Shame on ARB for not redeveloping the Summit bar when they developed the front bar package for the 300and the next gen ranger. They should have had another look at the S5.
Im dreaming of being ready.... Does that count. Its been a few very long days in the shed. Short of a Miracle tomorrow i will miss the scheduled Engineers Inspection for Friday damn it.
Tony, IMO the Opposite Lock is the best looking looped bar for the Y62. Have been designed to suit the Nissan V-Motion grille, unlike the ARB bar. Ordered mine, had it painted and installed in about 2 weeks for the same price as a black ARB bar.

It was drawers and second battery they were meant to install, parts didn't come in and now they said they can't fit until August.
Mum & dad had the same experience with ARB Bairsdale and their MUX rear drawers took frick'n ages. . .

I’m fitting the starlink tomorrow, have ordered the 12v to 57v inverter so hopefully that turns up next week, mate made me a spacer to lift the body up off the roof rack floor and bolted mounting up ready for installation, he’s pretty handy and does a great job.Attachment 88082Attachment 88083
I've just got these style 300mm and work well I find. . https://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/foru...2024/06/49.jpg

Two different types, well that's going to help me decide. C'mon I need someone to tip the scales.
On a recent trip to Rocklands this Anzac weekend just on the other side of the Grampians the ground was "rock" hard and I struggled to get in my 8 mm steel pegs in. For that kind of ground I will buy some screwing ones, but sand is all new to me

Starlink on the roof permanently, can be removed by undoing lock nuts, waiting on 12v power supply to arrive Monday then I’ll give it a try.
Quite simply, I’ve waited two hours (2hrs) [emoji23]
If your dish doesn’t self rotate, we need to park half way up Big Red with a single deflated 5psi back right rear tyre to Orion [emoji736][emoji736]

Gen 3 can be flat according to them, so I’ll go with that. Optimal is 30deg however it still gets good signal being flat.
20 days to go people!!!
