I don't do the stickers unfortunately mate.
Snicko or Taslucas are the sticky gurus.
I still have some stickers left over from our last meet up at my place I'll throw in but not NP ones.
Sorry, easily confused at this point in the evening medicinal intake curve.
Hmmm. . . That map and directions was a bit confusing (or I'm a little slow - quite possible).
Think it should say east out of Captains Flat on Captains Flat Rd.

So the property is the square where it says position 90 H4 Yeah?
Southeast... actually Google Earth has the State Forrest Symbol right on his place.
Oops...lol Thanks Rossco. I'll fix the directions.
The property is called "crow valley" below where you are thinking mate

Ah sweet, should be right now. Cheers Krisso, you can punch me in the neck when (if ) I get there!!
Directions frolm Captains Flat
Head east 9.5km on Captains Flat Rd(towards Braidwood)and turn right to South Forest Rd .
Head south 14.7km and turn/veer right onto South Forest Rd (same road )
Head southwest 2.5km and turn right to Cowangerong Fire Trail
Head north 1.5km and turn left to Tumanang Trail
Head west 1.6km and turn left into driveway (top gate)
keep driving till you reach paradise...LOL
Now, all tracks are sign posted and I will also put up "NissanPatrol.com.au"signs
If coming from Braidwwod you would go down Cooma Rd then onto Captains Flat Rd then you would be turning left onto South Forest Rd . The turn off is 40km from Braidwood.
I'm still lost, might catch a cab instead *L*
WTF....Now I'm lost???
In the town of Captains Flat is where Captains Flat Rd starts and is heading West then heads North??????

Ha Ha, Yeah that's what threw me. It's not marked Captains Flat on the PDF map, it's the red road heading east, then south from town.
Only one street I care about...... Foxlow Street where the pus is :)
You are hopeless ab..... its easy.
Captains Flat Rd starts at Kings Hwy near Quenbeyan and runs through Captains Flat going towards Braidwood...Just folow the Braidwood sign out of Captains Flat...LOL
EDIT: The turn off is left at the Rural Fire Station.
Also,To get to the pub you would go right where the sign sais" Jeringle" and the pub is about 200m .

It's alright Krisso I found it days ago... Even with your dodgy directions.
If nothing else catch a Uber ride from Canberra or Captains Flat
OK I assume that got your attention:
No one has mentioned it but what's the plan if it's a 'Severe' or 'Extreme' Fire Danger Rating over this weekend?
Don't want to be a party popper but I've been involved in a couple of wild fires and have no desire to ever repeat that.
Looks like it's an isolated entry with only one exit:
How clear/safe/fireproof in the camping area?
Is there any type of communications/monitoring of threats available?
kriss is in the RFS down there mate, im sure hell have all those bases covered =D
Our first Australia Day meet was in the middle of sever bush fires... we had the place to ourselves...
Yes but we still have to be careful. I'm sure Kris has a plan under control.
Thanks for bringing this up Jack.
I've been paying perticular attention to see what would happen if a severe fire came through and I am confident to say we would be safe in the valley but I can not guarantee that.
It is very green currently and there is predicted 100+mm of rain in the next week and a little more further on.
I have and will again mow everything very short especially around the fire place. I have also slashed a lot of grass further from the camp ground but didn't finish the job as I broke the slasher...LOL
I also have a fire fighting pump with 50m hose in case..
Unfortunatelly, there is only one way in/out to the top gate but from there, there are a number of roads out. Also being up high nearly right on top of Great Dividing range you get to see whats comming. I also have radio reception so we could get updates incase there is a fire.
If the Fire Danger is going to be severe or extreme I will call in to the Captains Falt station to let them know we are having a shindig and organise a UHF channel to monitor.
That should cover it...next...LOL
I may have to cancel out. The old man has taken a turn for the worst, I'll let you know.
Cheers
Jason.
Farq just realised its 2 weeks today that im on the road! I'm not ready FFS!
Well I think we're on the way to getting that 100mm of rain, it's been coming down here for a couple hours and we're downwind (and a bit north) of the meetup. Radar (Captains Flat) looks promising.
Jane-O and I are packed.
Starting to get a little rain here, still a way to go tho. Hopefully the rivers are up and the dust is down. . . . And there are no fires either around or on the way up, should be looking good. :)
Yep we had some rain here to it would be nice if the river is up!
We set our camper up to check it out/wet it down again, with this 2 days of rain and more forecast I hope it dries in time.......
