and let the games begin!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahaha, good on ya Biggus Moddus, here's to a top professional job. I'm sure it'll look bloody great mate.
Thanks lads!!! Here's hoping!!! LOL
I can see we will be having victory drinks if we succeed with the first cut. BTW I still want to use a 10 inch grinder
Apart from sticker removal what else is there to do
Thanks clunk for the pics, I will be going with this setup when I do mine also.
good stuff scotty with getting the ball rolling. Its the hard part. Ill have to come and have a look at yours before I do mine, maybe have a quiet beer or 2. It won't be happening for a little while though (3 months) so we should be all taught trim and terrific by then lol.
Hiya Scotty, I just read your reply about the LED interior lights that you put in for your GQ and had pics here...
Do you know what page the pics are in this maze of a thread...lol...Dont go looking for it, just if you happen to know whereabouts it is thats all..
Post number 273!!! LOL
And because they are so bright, I removed the far back one and replaced with a larger unit with a switch so I have light when I open the rear barn doors (no sensor on them for the interior lights) - I'll go take a happy snap of that also and put it up.
Wow, there bloody bright...haha...SOLD!
And this is the one in the back:

First photo switched off so you can see it, as it's too bloody bright when on to photo. The second shot is just that light (no other interior lights) and how much it lights it up.
That's what I need...I could barely read the maps the other night in the car!!!
Got the new rear tail lights wired up and on this morning. Picked up the pipe, 6mm plate, and pre-made bends for the barwork and assorted goodies to do the job ... no looking back now ... Can't wait!! (dhuck has already told me I'm impatient!!! lol).
Will take plenty of progress piccies ... fingers firmly crossed!!
I ended up buying straight tube and separate pre-fab bends - they are a lot tighter radius than I could get them, and no press marks on the metal (looks like a good mandrel bend). Going to weld these onto the straight tube which will also reduce chance of bending improperly and having both sides slightly different ... I wanted to do the bends, but I want it as symmetrical as possible also, so erred on the side of caution for this one.
The pipe and pre-cast bends ..

The camper shouldnt be to much of a worry but then i guess you need more gear than we would
Not really - it's just a heavy front end due to having the second tyre, second gas bottle, storage box, etc on the front. As well as the long draw bar .... packed pretty well, but would only make a few kilos difference no matter how it was packed as I can't put a lot of weight behind the wheels due to the kitchenette.
So sad ... lol ... love that camper though!!!!
