Yeah cool. Not sure where they take measurements from. I measured my new 315/75R16 Nittos from the edge of the tread blocks on each side and came up with less than the Nitto specified 884mm
Onve the tyre balloons out though if I measured from the widest point I came up with more than 884mm.
Buggered if I know but they look tuff so I don't care.

Finally got around 2 picking up some old railway sleepers from a property down the road for firewood, though for sure they would be pretty rotted, but they are still very solid and will burn well :)
This might have happened today too. Got a great price on a package I could not refuse.
Going on the GQ which suffered 4 flat tyres in a single day on Ellis track which is ridiculous.

Good score Toddstar, they will burn awesome but remember they’ll give standard blades/chains a really good workout due to steel wear fragments over the years. ‘Apparently’ retailers aren’t supposed to sell them anymore as firewood due to brake Asbestos contamination. Lots and lots of dead straight safe train lines across Australia without braking needed I would think?

Yeh I only use old chains that are near their end of the life on them. I know one shouldn't burn railway sleepers for your above reasons but figure they properly have been sitting in the paddock for 20 odd years getting weathered so would think any oil and brake asbestos contamination would be minimal if any. I only throw one on overnight so its not like i'm just running the fireplace on toxic railway sleepers.
I won't upload the video of me cutting them here due 2 my lack of safety wear while using a chainsaw *L*
