Bigger 70cc hydraulic pump and 20,000lb hydraulic winch for the back to replace the Warn 15,000 electric
Have you done the calcs for this? Do you know the specs at all of the PTO capacity? You will need 16hp to run that pump @ 1000rpm @1500psi. And about 110nm of torque when at the 1000rpm and 1500psi. I don't know the specs of the PTO output off the side of the patrol box just trying to make sure it's done right. Also you can't use a hydraulic winch if the engine isn't running, where an electric might flatten some batteries but could get you out of a lot of trouble before doing so.
Finally found some affordable cornering lights for my Series 2 fenders at AliExpress and didn't think twice!
Fitted the bar last weekend. I hadn't considered raptor coating it until Mickhead made the suggestion but it really looks great! [emoji106]
Cheers @Mickhead
First thing I've had a go at spray painting too.
Base coat with a metal shield epoxy enamel and then one bottle of raptor to do the front.

Is this raptor paint actually harder than standard 2 pack? would seem its going to be harder to wash with all those rough pockets? I do like the matt look though.
It has a hardening compound that you mix with it before application.
The paint is actually like a soft jelly before you add the hardener to the bottle.
Hopefully a high pressure hose will be all that's needed to wash it if required.
Edit: best part was that I didn't need to get the surface preparation perfect and the raptor covered any rough areas.
You can see in this photo what it looked like after paint, but before raptor.http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2022/04/98.jpg
That has come up smicko mate! Mine’s looking a bit tired and you’ve given me food for thought.
16mm syn rope and protective sheath for the new hydraulic winch, box of jing ping
If I was to do it again with a bar that was in fair condition I would probably just rub it back with sandpaper or a course Scotch pad, then paint it with raptor. The condition of this bar really warranted stripping it back though.
I used a Raptor Schutz spray gun, but you can get a finer texture with a Raptor vari nozzle gun.

Wow Cremulator, that came up looking good. Peebee, this stuff is originally a ute bedliner. It is fairly tough. It covers all sorts of sins. It can chip if hit hard enough, but its easily repaired by a blob of black paint, which you cant do with a beautiful glossy finish. Use a stiff brush or a pressure cleaner. The 3 medium sized roos hit at 110kph with the raptored uneek bullbar on the wrangulator did not cause any damage 🤪
Brought the GUte into the modern age, double din Android Auto head unit, UHF and custom lower panel from Kenay Customs. Bought the little GME UHF and didn't even know you could get the custom panels, was going to do something dodgey myself then found they did one, worked out wicked very nice little bit of gear [emoji106][emoji106]. .

Being a devoted Vegan/Cyclist, I unfortunately/finally ran out of crop space, shared country water too, to keep up my brain proteins growth mega hectares per 3,000m2 needed hourly ( 1 skinny man per x mega 3 hyper dramatic tarts)
Had to sadly employ a barbaric shooter to keep the Indian Minor’s from pecking on my Foxy friends back whilst he was protecting my foreign crops from being attacked by the cutest Bunnies me and my 3 wives have ever seen [emoji3590][emoji3590][emoji3590]

@Rossco I have just jerry rigged one of these GME UHF (TX3120S) radios up and wondering if you get any hash/noise coming thru speakers on standby?
Mine is wired thru IGN / Acc and even with engine not running get this noise thru both the unit and mic speakers _ do you experience any noise (buzz) similar and if not how have you wired it up?
Running the GME aerial AE4702BTP med duty A/T (2.1/6.6DBi / twin job). I do have BT device nearby and need to do some trouble shooting.
Thanks mate. Good to hear that no interference noise on yours. Squelch adjustment does not change it, last night I received a voice signal and noise stopped while receiving. Will try an AC/DC pwr supply and different 12V battery supply point (radio fuse _ piggy back thingo) and see what is the go.
@Rossco sorted, it was set on open squelsh (small speaker button on front panel was pushed in), allowed for all signal (atmospheric _ white noise) to be heard.
SQUELCH

https://www.gme.net.au/app/uploads/tx3120s_im_web.pdfQuote:
The Squelch is used to eliminate any annoying
background noise when there are no signals
present. The Squelch can be opened or closed by
pressing the key. When the Squelch is open
the receiver’s background noise can be heard and
the icon is displayed on the LCD. When the
Squelch is closed the receiver remains quiet while
there are no signals present but any incoming
signals will override the Squelch and be heard in
the speaker.
Bliss _ thanks mate.
Fixed unit in position with Velcro for now.
