It's funny you should say that. I had to go to Bunnings on Monday arvo. I have a powerpass and obviously wear work clothes on work days. Thought id try my luck and just walk in. No one asked me if I was trade customer etc even the chick that served me at the counter didn't ask for my powerpass before serving me, I think I would have been served regardless.Quote:

I wholeheartedly admit I had NO clue Bunnings was affected. Living under a rock maybe I am ,but I've been filtering a lot of Covid news for my own mental sake.
I was in my work uniform . But I had no ABN, power pass or whatever ... So, I was unknowingly breaking the rules. If I'd have been apprehended , I would have been in all sorts ...
But ...
I was not asked , questioned , looked at ONCE. It's as if it was business as usual. Even the items I bought were not really trade related but i got through without a hiccup.
It was only a day or 2 later that it dawned on me, what had and could have been after I spoke to a mate sparky .
Lesson learnt.

But what are the repurcussions? Isn't it Bunnings responsibility? Just like say garden suppliers are forced to deal with trade customers in house, I'm assuming there is some sort of proof required to do so?Quote:

Also, the fact , that I entered the store unchecked, therefore I assumed all was well.... I doubt cops would have bought that either.
Supposedly cops are pulling tradie utes/vans over , after leaving Bunnings , checking that they're not buying non trade / domestic items ...
