Does anyone know the cut out size for those Narva style carling rocker switches??
I'm going to fit 2 in the "D" pillar moulding , one for the rear led 27watt work light,
and the other will have a rocker swith and a merit socket to plug in my awning light.
They will be up high so hopefully wont get knocked.
Look here TD, one of the diagrams has the dimensions.....

He has some nice switch panels too....
I tried running the cable for the rear work light via the back door ,
it rained last night and all the rain followed the cable into the cargo area.
So now I'll run the cable back along the roofrack to the "B" pillar and go in that way
Then under the side panels till I get to the rear cut out, where I can pick up power,
ouch drilling holes in the roof , couldn't do it,
except maybe to fit one of those small 100mm UHF antenna
Theres not much current draw so I think it'll be ok running back to the "B"
pillar , really drilling a hole in the roof, Mego did the same for his driving lights.
I have a no drill policy, so far not too bad
Got some new Springs, Shocks and Steering Dampener. Very happy considering it's still 'legal'.

Hopefully wire up some lights on my roof rack.
Weather permitting
Wired up my roof lightbar...BRIGHT.....and found two Hercules 8000 lb snatch straps in my Recovery gear to return to 4wd Supacentre. Has anyone else returned yours? Did you get a replacement? I have to send mine from Adelaide.
Installed my adjustable draglink, went down the road to get wheel alignment but they too busy:(
Fitted a new section of vacuum hose from the brake vacuum tank to the metal pipe after removing the old piece with a "tee" fitting that used to power the old cruise control now upgraded with a new unit.
new springs and shocks, some of the dynamatting is done
Gave it some fresh Delo oil, a couple of filters, fuel filter and air filter. It'll get a grease tomorrow.
As I have an ARB copy 3/4 roof rack thought I would design a decent bracket to mount my awning 2.5mtr.
I'm going to use some square tube and flat plate, slightly longer than the awning and mount some small LEDs on each end
These will be remote controlled. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/12V-RF-Wi...item3cfb42733e
Get it all powder coated and fit it should look trick, I'll do a DIY on it.
idea is to have the bottom of the awning level with and as close to the gutter as possible
Attachment 59081Took it out in the mud and rain, only got one pic not of mine as the battery went flat on the phone
Believe it or not but I washed it
Me too....
Fixed it up. I will put up a DIY panel beating thread later - much later.

& the big Stripout is nearly complete!
Best thing you can ever do, and if anyone reading this
has scotch locs connecting any wires on their Patrol,
Remove them and solder the wires properly and use heat shrink to
complete the job. THEY WILL FAIL
