Absolutely. Been a few times I have not been able to get up some steps or through ruts with my 33s when I have just watched someone on 35s go through before and after me with no worries.

Me too.. I did western tk in Bunyip earlier this year, for those of you that know it it can be difficult at times. I crawled up at 13psi in my 35's, didn't spin the wheels once.
Mate on 33's had to hit it with a lot of speed, foot to the floor on his 33's, and didn't even make it halfway. More damage to truck and track.
Yeah 35s give that slightly larger foot print which makes a massive difference on rocky sections.
OK finally got some time. Here's some of my pics

Hahaha Rusty Nic you're asking questions I don't know the answers to 😝 I assume safari as I just press the safari button & it comes up in history - if that helps - remember who you're talking to so dumb down your answer 😏
Rusty Nic I notice you don't have a pic of Grimme launching up out of the river like a leopard on crack? Probly a bit hard to take a pic As you dive into the bush I spose 😝
Just received an email back from Simon about 35s being engineered.
He basically said its a big no no especially in the High country,
and if you want to run engineered 35s on your patrol to do plenty of research.
Simon never had engineered 35s on any of his Patrols
Thanks John. But I'd love to know what plenty of research is needed to be done though. I found a list of all the VASS approved engineers. I might have to do the ring around....

No idea what Simon mean't but see what they say could be as
much as $800 which seems to be the going price for most engineered mods.
they may just make it too difficult to worry about doing
you can get lift and 35's engineered, big $$$ as you need to book a racetrack and have a driver do a swerve test to ensure the vehicle is stable through a set course of orange cones, i am looking at getting mine done when ewan gets his portal patrol done to share the cost.
Going to cost a lot if you need to book a track and driver for the test, you'll still be pi##ed off being stopped
but at least you can wave the papers under their noses.
4" and 35s would be safe on a swerve test imo
decent swaybars and shocks
