You’ve given us too much of your heart over the last 14 years and asked for nothing more than mateship in return.
It was an honour having one last camp out together and appreciate you always being there to offer your selfless support my beautiful Del Bel.

Thank you All, we do more than appreciate your kind words and support as always!
New Dodgey unfortunately didn’t get enough time with our best Matriach, especially learning the ropes on “how to” snooze on an outdoor couch after a good healthy paddock run :-)

We went to a couple of dogs refuges yesterday..... the wife and I found a couple of beauties we were interested in.... one was a fantastic brindle Staffy X Bull Mastiff 3.5 yr old bitch, sweet natured, soft as shit. The other was a fun coloured Bull Mastiff X with something again great natured but found out not too good with cats, so we ruled her out as we have 2.
Went back To the refuge today for a meet and greet with the Staffy, kids and cat. All was going well between pooch and cat until the pooch came up behind the cat for a sniff, cat turned round and took a swipe a pooch, pooch became far too interested in the cat for the trainers liking, so unfortunately we weren't able to rescue the Staffy.
Trainer asked us on our thoughts about adopting a pup instead....... so yeah this happened today, 8 week old unknown mixed breed boy, now named Cooper.... We think there's possibly Staffy, Kelpie amongst other breeds but will probably be able to tell a bit more as he grows. Looks like he'll be a medium sized boy
looking forward to the long nights of attention seeking [emoji6][emoji848]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4f4bef04c0.jpg

Sorry for your loss Ross. They grow right into your soul and become part of you.
Yeah he certainly was lol. Full of character for such a small fellow. Funny I was never a small dog person till we inherited him with the house, wasn't long before he won me over big time, Jack Russell's are wicked little dogs. .

Sorry to hear that, Rossco. They certainly do take a big chunk of your heart with them.
Sorry for your loss Rossco
My daughter who just had the baby had to put her French Bulldog down today. The poor bugger had a number of spinal abnormalities that were giving him pain. We were assured that spinal surgery for the neck area would alleviate the majority of the pain, and the remainder could be handled with anti-inflammatory drugs, so we went ahead on the basis he would be up and about, but kept quiet for 2 weeks. Well , 8 weeks later we finally got him over the neck surgery, only for him to collapse from the other spinal issues which could only be controlled with pain relief, so strong he would be asleep the whole time - anti inflamms were of no use - unfortunately this all happened last night and he was rushed to an emerg vet and it was time to say goodbye to the little champ this morning. First vet didn't quite get the balance of injury management right unfortunately, as 'in hindsight' we should not have put him thru the agony of the neck surgery - but you try to keep them don't you. RIP Hugo.
Sorry to read the news Rossco, sad time losing one of your best mates
Unfortunately not ours to luv, but one of the essential blokes at work brought home this Little Rescue Ripper from across the border just before lockdown.

Hi Clunk good to see your back on the bike.
Does that dog have a bit of Rottie in it.?
@Rossco never good when you lose a mate.
@PeeBee, same goes for you they ask for nothing
just a feed and a pat, but boy do they leave a mark.
There is no Love like a dog has for his owner.
We are thinking of getting another dog for Tyler
maybe a jackie.
To be honest TD, we have no idea what mix he is.... we did think possibly Rottie but we reckon definitely American Staffy , maybe Kelpie... he's quite lean and has a shit load of energy. He's coming up to 7 months old now and weighs 22Kg. So happy to have him in our lives.

For the first time in over 60 years I don't have a dog.
We said our final goodbye to KEL on Wednesday, another loyal and faithful companion for fourteen years. He was also a rescue dog and he was part of the family, loyal, faithful (but would swap that for food), and a great companion.
He deteriorated in the last twelve months with failing eyesight and hearing but that never stopped him from enjoying life. Earlier this year at his annual check-up we found he had more serious issues and we knew we didn't have long. We always agreed that we wouldn't let him suffer and keep him alive for our sake.
His end was very peaceful and the vet allowed us both to be there and hold him while he was euthanised. We've always agreed that we'd never just drop the dogs off and leave them with a stranger at the end.
The place is full of reminders of him and it's a pretty sad time, he loved everyone (except cats) and the grandkids loved him.
Lead a great life with us and will be sadly missed, goodbye KEL.

Good for you Nic, sure he will give you years of happiness. We have been looking for a new fur baby ourselves at the shelters, but with lockdown that nailed it for us for a while - simply heaps of dogs avil country areas but not a lot that fits the bill in the metro area.
