These guys are a great testament to what this forum stands for, with great advice before, during and after the tracks. They answered my questions and for my maiden voyage on easy to medium difficulty tracks i did them with ease and only up 1 section i was told by every else in the convoy to take the main track and not go up the " short cut" which you might get a couple of videos from the other guys if all you children behave lol. But over all the car behaved well, 1 of my side steps has some character now and my front number plate is a bit bent from the river crossings we did and there was a few at that. Thanks to every 1 there again, this would have to be the best Australia day i have ever had!!Quote:

Well done BA from 007's account it was an awesome drive ,which you would expect from some of the best 4x4 country anywhere.
007 are you amazed what a basically stock GU can do?? Image what a double diff locked GU could do. I also take it you have a pic

That hill was narly and Timbo and Rosco got some awesome video of this hill with myself getting some huge air..

I want to thank Winnie for cable tying my tent shut while I was asleep.. prick, after he left to ride shotgun in Rosco's rig to do Brewery track I cable tied his drive shafts before I left to come home.

I am so tired and now I have to go out and clean my car as it is filthy... I was the only one who fired up the compressor after every drive and cleaned as much as I could with the air filter getting extra attention.
Kris said his car would not idle properly all the way down from Canberra and after he used my compressor and cleaned his filter out his car idled and ran so much better..
Now I have to fire the big home compressor and give everything a proper clean out... fun!!!!
You need leather mate, a bucket of water and wet chamois, seats, dash and door trims done in 10 mins lol now to vac n wash the body hahaQuote:

Went to leave this morning and had a weird clacking noise coming from underneath. I had to drive home like that and saw my mechanic was open so stopped in to see him. He said it was the uni joints and $700 later the noise is now gone. Oh well thems the breaks I guess.

Unfortunately guys the GoPro footage isn't all that great, had it in a crap spot on the car. I guess we will have to go back again and reshoot?
Put a 3/16th rivet in each corner, you'd be surprised how many fold back or get ripped off
at bog holes or water crossings.
@ Winnie I get great pics through this unit only the sound is a bit iffy sometimes
