Hey all! This beauty was stolen from us this morning from Lenah Valley, Tasmania please contact the Hobart Police with any information.
1988 Nissan Safari TD42 Diesel with a full roof rack, drivers side awning, black solar water tank on the left side attached to roof rack. PTO winch and 5 new surtrac radial tyres.
Yeah bloody scumbags. What a gem of a Patrol too.

Got her back! Mostly all in one piece except they stole all of our camping gear from inside :)
I had taken out the indicator stalk for cleaning the night before so it looks like they have shredded those wires to make the headlights work. Anyone have experience in the part I would need to replace that connects to the indicator stalk?
Great to hear you have your Patrol back, best bet would be buy a new stalk or source one from a wreckers.
At least they never pushed it over a cliff. eh
Thanks, yeah good news on that. I guess 4 patrols were stolen that night and 2 were used in ram raids. My baby is still looking good and now has a little street cred ta boot!
Indicator stalk itself still works fine but the female connector piece from the wiring has been removed. What would the correct name of this piece be to help me in my search?
Indicator stalk would cover it I would think, again you are one lucky dude.
Upgrade your security, you may not be so lucky next time ,and they already
know where you live.
Yeah, done mate! I consider myself very fortunate. Have taken extra precautions and she is staying in the driveway :)
I would have started another thread Im sure a lot of the
guys would be over the moon you have your Patrol back, your call

Just saw a weird /great looking GU Patrol on the channel 7 news
about that child kidnapping thing,
What caught my eye was it had no flares
but it appeared wider with flat sides.
No pics you'll have to watch the news
Someone had a bad day by the looks of it :(

Was reading most recent Unsealed 4x4 Magazine, and saw the article on Uneek featuring a GU Patrol.
Is this Mego's I think? I remember seeing ages ago someone was getting a new rear bar with a winch as a prototype type thing

Looks like Micks GU.
Surprised they didn't open the doors to take the photo to highlight the seats lol .

I was looking at this out the front of work and wondering if that rear window is normally bubbled out like that on an mq?
