@Winnie nah mate we just use a spray called "OFF". I haven't been to Bali, though we do ask the locals how the dengue fever situation is here. We normally check an area before we go for Malaria outbreaks. We spay the room each night with fly spray while we're having dinner.
Edit: OFF has DEET dunno if that's ok for the lady up the duff? But googling DEET it seems ok maybe ask the quack

Yeah DEET is good, doc said that the more DEET the better and recommended a Bushman's rub on gel with 80% DEET

Yup Bushmans is good shit! My missus had a Malaria shot years ago and it fucked her up badly. There was an enquiry by Aus govmnt over it. Never had any shots again. I'd be more concerned with dog and or cat bites and scratches, the ol rabies factor
