It would be cool for sure Lads, unfortunately Tony and I were just having a Lark together.

Bought some new recovery gear the other day and hoping to try some of it out plus the freshened up which but stupid Covid put an end to that damit. Anyways grabbed a snatch ring, soft shackle and new tree trunk protector form George 4x4, looks like good stuff might have a go winching some logs up see how it all goes. Saves a heap of space and weight just need to get some more winch rope and get rid of old school extension strap. .http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2020/07/58.jpg

Bought the same but two straps so can use them as equalisers - already have the tree protector. Nice kit they put together.
I bought 2 x 40" Extreme Series lightbars from @Lights
Now it's a hurry up and waiting game. lol.
4 chicken fillets and 500 grams of mince..and some eggs...try that in melbourne
Could not buy a kimber 1911 .357 because the shop was shut . Never mind. :) :)
Ctek battery Sense (bluetooth battery monitor) for my fridge battery :)
Funny you mention Mickhead Mate!
Managed to telegraph through to our nearest store for an enquiry into bunny banger boxes needed.
An interesting quandry discussed as government grazing type leaseholders are under contract for feral eradication albeit we both agreed it wasn’t worth the travel risk to collect & postage is obviously unachievable for such said items.
Bugs beats Elmer again :-)

Just got to find the time to have them fitted.
Sliders made and ready for pick-up for the GUIV. I need to weld in the mounting kit and also front tails for front scrub bars. Stoked.

A guy on Facebook mate. Prices start at $350. Just sliders.
Like this with the kicker and dimple inserts along with a full fitting kit to be welded by me and a couple of notched tails I can use to weld on and add camberg joiners for scrubbies I have already bent up was $760.
Looks like with the covid restrictions not easing today I might have to get them shipped for another $65.
Bloke is in Epping.
So after some Aux battery / charger dramas (on-going Bang Head) assumption was made the whole setup was stuffed...
So in hope of by some miracle, being allowed to go camping again sometime this decade, I splashed out on a new battery and charger.

That brewery does the Melbourne Storm branded beer and is owned by Billy Slater.

It's a draught beer, If you like draught you'll love it. Got a better after taste than Carlton.
Only let down is I prefer beer in glass. Best looking can I reckon, but nice if it was in a stubbie.http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2020/10/12.jpg

Not buy but hired a wood splitter today and finally split the 34, 2 1/2 ft pine rounds I had sitting here. Plus a heap of other wood.
Now to find somewhere to stack it.

A rivnut tool. How have I been without this tool all this time ... for Fitting various things around the car , this is a gamer changer folks.
I've got a little project going at the back of the car.
Parts of it needs nuts put onto a spanner with blutac and then tucked away behind panels and brackets like a contortionist ... Stuff that.
This tool wipes all that. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2020/10/65.jpg

First Aid tourniquet arrived today. Still waiting for a definitive answer regards the stretchy wraps spoken about earlier - seems they are not TGA approved for use on humans, jus concerned if they do end up getting in contact with a bloody wound and what they are made from. As external wraps I can't see a problem though, so will order some anyway.
Yeah how good is the rivnut kit. Got one myself. Don’t use it a lot but when I need to it’s like. Yep, great bit of kit....

Set of 63% reduction gears from Marks. Looking forward to fitting them up to my 2009 GU and seeing what difference they make on downhills.
Agreed Gents, reduction gears in the hills, coupled with front & rear lockers allow us to slowly enjoy the views instead of smashing tracks like days of old!
If someone were to run a study...reckon they’d find there is money to be saved by installing traction/torque devices instead of trashing vehicles with momentum otherwise gnarly adventures required:-)

Bought a Toyota Hiace Commuter bus.
Going to set it up as our soft tourer. We didn't want or like the idea of a caravan. Can fit a queen size mattress in the back and squeeze a table and 2 seats facing each other in between that and the front seats.
One of these bad boys. My factory honker is so annoying. Of course I went for the 300dBa option!

Agreed the factory honker is embarassing.
Guy at work has a mitsubishi 380 which has a decent blast. Think I'll see if I can grab one from the wreckers.
