Freo registered (?) cray boat. Hasn't been stripped to any great degree - so well away from metro. Well out of water - so maybe cyclone country? Sand dunes not red rock so prob south of zuytdorps, how about Dongara???
(Sorry ornithology not my strong suit...)
Stand corrected. South coast, so how about Windy Harbour?
Cocklebiddy??
Ayres bird observatory

Is that the place where you look at all the birds (sparrows) down-the-sights, rather than the sights of all the birds?
I actually don't know UncleFrosty! I didn't go into the observatory, just drove past it down onto the beach then hooked it east a k or two to a camping area in amongst the dunes. A bloke at Cocklebiddy Roadhouse told me about the spot when I pulled in to refuel after coming down the Haig track.
Ok try this one.

Thanks. Here are some more rocks, quite distinctive ones. Where are they.

Flinders Ranges?
Nope, not the Flinders. Wrong state & way too far south.
Karijini NP perhaps?
Yep, Karijini is correct, but can you identify the actual location. It's quite a distinct rock formation in a gorge & access is via a different route into the park than most of the other gorges.
FWIW I reckon everyone should consider Karijini NP as a worthy bucket list contender, it is one of Australia's finest 'jewels'. Needs at least a week & good walking boots.
It's definitely on my 'bucket list', but haven't yet made it there, so without resorting to a google assisted inquiry, I can't name it.
