I think they abuse their position too much, just look at the new independent for the car drivers party.
He now gets $190,000 for what ,he was on the dole, certainly stinks in my books anyway

for the next 6 Years! not a bad spin.

Every member who ran and got 4% or more of there electorates vote got $4.50 something a vote.. So even if they didn't get in they still got paid...

@ MR We're in the wrong game, IMO

Hearing that the extreme fires around my way 2day may have been deliberately lit and considering that there was no storm activity in the area it doesn't surprise me!

With at least 6 localish fires that went to extreme warnings only 2 houses lost and some cars n sheds. So top effort by the the RFS........and all fires have now been downgraded to watch and act ( still out of control thought )

This is a linescan map of the Winmalee Fire closest to me. The bright areas show active fire. Brighter colour means more intense fire.
