Just kidding guys, wish I was there. So spewing
BTW I want to hear more of Mudski's story....lol
Spewing we didnt to Blue rag or Billy Goats but the the clouds were down as low as 600 metres so we wouldn't have seen much. So it just means i have to return. I wouldn't mind camping down at Talbotville too. Was a nice place...

Was a good track that one, nice little suprise. Great views. . .
Pretty much we stopped at the bottom and you coukd see the how steep it was from the bottom. Then about half way up it turned to a few rocky steps which needed your attention to navigate. At the top though, the view was bloody awesome.

Still got a heap of video to go through and some need to be resized
I just checked my dash cam and nothing recorded. Bloody devastated...
The kids loved the Crooked river track. All those river crossings.
Hahaha yeah that Randal's track caused a bit of a kerfuffle in the car at 1st but we got through it , mummy was a 'BIT' anxious but 3yo Indy just said 'it's ok mummy - it's just the bush' haha .
Was it 38 river crossings Mudski ? Pretty good effort .
If it's the one that we went down to the river for lunch, then here is the drive down.

Just a fantastic part of the world. I love going up that way.
I feel a bit privileged to have shared a moment with AB - sitting in the river in our jocks discussing the worlds problems
I been going through the dash cam videos and it all pretty much the same thing.
If there is a particular area that someone wants to see, tell me which day it was and give me a approximate time and I'll post it up.
Hows the ankle much better or still hobbling???
Sorry to hear about the plods fellas, hope not too many of you got done. Real shame that they target the bigger wheels. I know I can crawl places on 35's that mates on 33's are having to hammer through.
Would love to get 35's engineered haha
Hahaha Winnie so he does it with everyone ? 😩 Shame not to meet you but I rekn from the stories floating around you'll have a fair idea what I'm about 😜
Rusty Nic I access the forum on my phone 99% of the time & I can't see how to upload photos on the phone version - it looked very different on the Laptop the other night .
@ Winnie better eels then polly waffles eh
Winnie,
Billy Goats was pretty tame ... we did this on Tuesday afternoon on our way out. The lower half below the helipad was just a track ... obviously the grader work is holding together well cause it was easy as. It was a little more interesting at the top, but still fairly easy.
Most of the tracks were in great condition, of which although we don't like the road closures, they obviously have great affect.
Lots of nuffty's out there too though, with tyres at road pressures and no idea what they were doing - with slick tracks in spots due to the rain. We saved one crew from recovering a stuck vehicle ( which probably wouldn't have been stuck at all if they had decreased their tyre pressures a little ) off a trailer chain shackle ...... no wonder people get killed ....
Nah thats not it John. Randalls is pretty steep and very rocky in sections... And the hill has pretty much zero tree's, or very little of them. So you can see where your gonna land... Lol
We were discussing this over a few brews at camp. My impression was that you can't get 35's engied... But AB was sure he saw a 4wd TV episode that Simon Christie had his 35's on his Tojo engied. So AB. Can you email ya mate and ask him please. Pretty please. Nothing better than to shove one in the nose of the plods for something thats really uncalled for in my opinion. Unlike that shorty we seen on the way out nearly on two wheels taking a corner. Lol.
It will return, especially with all the vehicle traffic .....
I ran a trip for my club and took my daughter with me, and she was a little disappointed, especially after the last time we did it where she was begging me to go back down and do it again
Still a great climb though ... no views from the top though .. we waited optimistically whilst having lunch for 40 minutes
@ Mudski I'll email Simon and see what he has to say
I'm sure you can engineer anything, providing you have a thick enough wallet to back you up. Simon and D Black offroad would have that capability, as well as mates in the industry.
For an average Joe , I'm sure it would be A lot of $$$$.

Yeh we did billy goats and blue rag on the weekend - the tracks are fairly straight forward for both, but unfortunately because of the weather and fog - the views were non existent which was dissapointing!
Collingwood and bulltown spur tracks were a bit of fun! As were randalls and Conway Tk

Question is will you go further on the tracks "available" with 35"s
compared to doing the same tracks on 33"s.
Who on the weekend did the same with 265's?
if any
