I reckon your too hard camp spot is probably in the WA goldfields somewhere. :)
And I think your subsequent pics are in Central Australia, but I won't be specific for now to give someone else an opportunity.

Is it Idalia Nat Park Qld.
Real stab in the dark, is it Rainbow Valley?
I'd say north west'ish. ;)
Come on folks put in your 2c worth, have a guess. I'm confident I know it, but will wait a bit longer to give others a chance. If it's any help I believe it to be an aboriginal site accessible to tourists west of Alice. (Hope you don't mind me adding in a clue Nisshead).

Not looking I'm guessing chambers pillars
Nah, you're still South of Alice TD - go up to Alice & turn left ................ any more guesses?

By Albert Namijira,
Don't know about the painting, but I wonder if it's the same hills as in this pic? I'll guess the 'Heysen Range'. I think this pic was taken on the road which led us to the 'Razorback Lookout'.

Aroona Valley
been and seen. i know bugger all of these places, but i want to visit all of them! thanks for sharing all these pics, they make me proud to be an australian
Thanks TPC, I must admit that I had to follow up your clues with some extensive Googling to get close on that one.
Thanks rusty-nail. It's good to know that others find the thread of interest even if not participating. I expect that participation will continue to rise & fall, but it's always good to have different folk putting up pics. We all live somewhere & most of us have a camera of some sort. A shot of Elizabeth St, Melbourne is just as relevant as one of the Birdsville Hotel dunny.
Ok here is one with what I reckon are some fairly obvious clues in the pic, so I expect it won't last long.
I found the variety of goods being advertised quite amusing. Where is it?

Cooper Pedy ?????????????
That's the one Bob. The advertising for the opals & the cutting machines, & the vent pipes sticking out of the ground from the underground residences are pretty unique.
All yours mate.
