Did anyone else see they guy who got done for the standard non working tail lights on a patrol? He did fight it and had it over turned but just shows how much some of the authorities know.

Yep. I dont know the exact details but I think he had to provide evidence that they didnt work from factory.

It is so crap. I mean, another example is tonight when the 2 of them were going to ping me for the scoop because it didn't look right out of the drivers seat. Guilty until proven in the clear ... Shit system.

I think everyone should write a letter to the Mansfield Council suggesting that it would be in their best interests to have a meeting with Police, asking for justification why the family 4WD fertility is being targeted in the Mansfield area and High Country.
I know from experience that the Mansfield area is becoming not the place to be on long weekend or school holidays, due to "over zealous" policing of 4wd holiday makers. The Mansfield economy will soon start to suffer with less patronage. It wont be long before they lose their title of "Gateway to the High Country".

Already been done..
The council memebers basically said if your rig is not legal they cop it..
Which is true..
They are taking a proactive approach which is sometimes over the top but if it's illegal it's illegal..

Already been done bazza.
Councils reply was if you're legal and have nothing to hide then you have nothing to worry about driving through Mansfield .
