Headed back up into the mountains from Moruya. Nice drive, plenty of water about and wet and drizzly. Ended up camping at the Big Hole campground and heading off on the walk in the morning.

Headed into the Deua River National Park from the top of the platea (west side) and drove down the Dampier fire trail which leads into the Bendethera valley. Easy track with pretty good views.

Bendethera valley, NSW version of Wonnangatta valley. Nice spot, a few historic remains left from the homestead, heaps of camping spots.

Went for a walk up to the Bendethera Caves. Bigger caverns than the Wyanbene caves, with bats roosting right up the end (couple of hundred meters in)

Climb out of the valley and onto the Mercumbene Fire Trail. Pretty easy drive with some steepish sections. Follows the ridgeling for a while with great views to the coast.

Back across the Deua river and onto the road that heads to Moruya.
That "big hole" photo makes me wish I'd come with you and taken climbing gear... Haha
Rossco I need to stop past and get you to show me on a map your journey as it looks brilliant mate.
