Mate, you're a sucker but one bloody good bloke by the sound of it. Good luck and I hope you get to enjoy some tracks in the Pajero with the missus of course:)

I'm sure we will still damage it :)
slap a 2in lift on it and some 32s or 33s and you'll be fine mate................ my brother had a 93 and my old man has a 2004 and considering they were both stock as, they both went/go pretty hard and dare I say it, more comfortable than the GQs and GUs. Only thing I'm not so keen on my old mans...... to much electronics for my liking but its an Exceed auto, so that may or may not have something to do with it.
So are you getting petrol or diesel?
My work mate has a stock standard 93 pajero, he has no fear and it is a very capable vehicle
I am looking at the '11 GLS 3.2lt deisel until I find the right one I am still undecided
OH DEAR, oh dear :(

Yep I have a mate that put stock gq springs in his Pajero and gave it the 2" lift as mention by ba. Not sure on the model though
I've been trying for a while to work out a way to wangle a new Paj as a company car instead of my Territory. It's coming up for replacement soon and that would give me a diesel 7 seater that's reasonably capable for long distance touring and the GQ them becomes a full-on high country toy.......
They're not quite as capable out of the box as a Patrol but I have some mates with Paj's and have seen them do some pretty crazy chit in them. Wheels all over the place with locker and TC going bezerk but still some crazy chit.
I rate them.
