This is what I've got with ignition on. When the lights are on the temp gauge lights up like the oil. I want the oil pressure to work like the temp.
The oil only has + & - and the sender of course. At the moment the + on the oil is with the + on the temp.
The Pos would be to accessories wouldnt it so it would only work with ignition
Not to the pos of the battery
Yeah, positive to ignition. Nothing going direct to battery.
I think that my problem is there is only one power wire that powers up the whole thing.
you wouldnt get your power from the dimmer switch wire would you ??
move the pos wire of the oil pressure gauge to the pos on the water temp gauge
think that sounds right.
I see your pillar pod is different to mine and you have room for some toggle
switches right of the gauges +++++
Get a cig plug with 450mm of wire and use this for test purposes
This is the back of the oil gauge.

And this is the temp gauge.

I think I'm stuck with how it is.
Check the spec's on the gauges and see if the have back light facility,
If it has they normally have a twist in LED at the back, I wouldnt think
it would have a built in LED
Can't see that last post ,,way too dark.
The idea of the cig plug and wires was to test the gauge
to see if you can get lights.
Any update JC ???
I know what you mean about the twist in LED and both gauges don't have that. The temp on has a yellow wire that gets connected to the lights or to the ACC. The oil doesn't have the yellow wire, so the positive must light it all up.
No real big deal if I can't get the blue parts to only come on with the lights.
Even rang speco and all they did was give me a number to a guy in Geelong, tried calling him and no one answers the phone.
I'm actually thinking of getting rid of both of them. They look brilliant at night, but a bit hard to read during sunny conditions.
Wanting to stick to the digital style. I'm thinking of these cheapies.

Just hope I don't have the same issues in sunny conditions.
