I didn't drive mine anywhere today...
However when I was walking past I stopped, checked noone was watching and gave it a hug and thought "Dang, you are a fine example of a fourby, I think I love you long time"
Replaced the UHF mic, cant get old style ones this new bugger has 4 buttons that I cant use. Don't like that.
Finally got the new winch fitted, and the bullbar back on. Now, wait for the drawers to turn up, and get yet another set of rear springs fitted.
Just pulled the winch, bullbar and rear bar off the shorty. The rear bar I have sold, the bullbar I will either sell, or modify to suit no body lift, as currently it suits a 2" body lift.
Almost pulled the rear diff out of the ute, everything disconnected bar the driveshaft, which is stuck on, and I have to bring a hammer and chisel from work tomorrow.
Cheers!
Put in the new MAF And reset the ECU. Hopefully it will fix the limp mode problem.
I actually had a day off today so I went and picked up my long range aux tank from the cleaners, removed my dash cluster to fix the fuel and temp gauge needles and fitted a bent adjustable upper control arm. Now to get another day or three off to do the tank install.
This showed up today. Diesel Smart. Can't really tell much difference when driving. Pyro goes on at the end of the week.Attachment 55775Attachment 55776Attachment 55777
Well I got back last night from Newcastle where the Patrol got all new bushes (the originals were still in there and in terrible condition), 2" suspension lift, a rebuilt rear diff, new front wheel bearings and rebuilt hubs. The rear wheel bearings didn't get replaced as the ones in there were almost new, clearly the last owner replaced them not that long ago.
She drives so much better now and has a lot more grunt. The 3 and 1/2 hour trip back home only took 3 hours, quite a difference. :D
Just finished pulling the diff out of the ute, and the diff out of the shorty.
Probably put them back in on Friday.
Cheers
Fitted the new rear drawers. By my self. :)
I stuffed it with camping gear.
Last night I stripped a rear barn door, scored it for free from the brother-in-law who got it for free.
It is a white one with no rust as going to sand it back and paint it to replace the door currently on the back on my truck. :D
Fitted my supa-fit seat covers, front, centre and rear.....nice product...now just have to wait to see if the mees from the 21 month old twins cleans off easily..
And removal of the aux tank begins for the long range tank to go in. NFI on what im doing but here goes. Wish me luck.
Well the tank is out. Lol
Washed and found a 100mm crack in the bottom of the windscreen aaarrrggghhhh
Yeah those kits work surprisingly well.
Just put the rear diff back in the ute?
Looks nice, warm and sunny at your place mate. Beer time. Well for me it is. Lol.
Just fitted a freshened rear brake caliper. Up next a new bit of exhaust and then start on replacing tierods, bushes, etc etc up front. I'm a bit over the "duck and weave" braking set up I'm currently running lol
Put in new globes (100/90W) for the headlamps and put some nuts and bolts to hold the grill on instead of those crappy plastic clips. Still need to replace some of the top ones which are being held for now with cable ties.
Nothing... but my Dog took a humungous dump in the tray of a Cruiser Ute someone parked outside my house.
Sure beats pissing on their Mags
Smartest dog I've ever owned, God I love him.
Covered it in mud down near Moss Vale south of sydney
