Bloody hell that' s an easy one - not. Um coastal sand dunes Great Ocean Road?
Is it in SA?
is it Ceduna way ???
Might as well have taken a pic of a grain of salt,
My question would be is it coastal dunes or inland???
The ground cover looks coastal.

Not Hutt River Province, is it in Coober Pedy?
Hutt river province is in WA not far from kalbarri....
Is it Talc Alf’s place at Lyndhurst?
No we didn’t get there, but I know of it & I think I may have seen a similar photo somewhere in the past. Next time I’m up that way I’ll give it a look if he’s still around.
Ok, not sure if this will be easy or hard. Either name the river or name the small outack ‘government’ town who’s water supply is from the apparatus shown. (Presumably they filter it). Name both for extra kudos. Note the shape of the river banks & the hinged ‘pontoon’ giving an indication as to the rise & fall of water levels. Plenty of clues there. :)

Stab in the dark here, looks like the Darling around Pooncarie.
Not the Darling, & you are going to have to stab quite a lot further north (by around 1500kms as the crow flies) .......... almost due north in fact. Dunno if it helps (‘cos I don’t know how widespread they are) but I caught a good sized Yellowbelly just out of shot.
Has to be inland and not too far north as the rivers run clear in the tropics
so maybe a river around Mt Isa
Leichhardt river is my guess
Right State TD, but close to 1000kms too far north & a bit too far west.
Diamantina river?
Not the Diamantina, but you are getting closer. Like the Diamantina it’s water finds it’s way to the Lake Eyre basin. Take a hike east from the Diamantina. The town is only a few hundred metres from the river.
Not Boulia? Or the Burke?
Hang-on... Barcoo River? Down from the Clancy's Pub?
Nup, you’re in the right sort of area though still need to go east. About a 9 hour drive from Boulia.
Ok here’s a big clue, but by giving it I want both town & river.
The water finds it’s way into Lake Eyre via the Cooper. The town is the administrative centre for the region.
Charleville way? Been too long since I've been down there.
Longreach, Thompson River?
