Some people dont understand, a while ago a tourist drove straight into the ocean, in a hire car, because his gps that was directing him to fraser island pointed to the barge landing. Didnt stop or think that he couldnt do it, just kept driving because thats the way the gps said
Well, my car's mood swings changed again today. For the better... It is an absolute rocket. Low EGT's, very punchy pedal across all gears. And I have not changed or touched a thing. I don't know if I should be happy about it or pissed off at not knowing why all of a sudden it decides to boogie.
And this is still while it is putrid and air filter just about fully blocked with about 2 tons of tallarook dust. But it's like Melbourne weather ,just wait till tomorrow. :S
aah yes melbourne weather shit one day worse the next
Happy to know the trol can even pull trucks out of s#it . Pulled this bloke out of a ditch and across the road into a servo this morning.

Hope they put a fall to it they didnt with mine and floods every decent down pour,?
If you mean at the entrance, across the width of where the roller door will be, yes they did. You can just make it out on the right in the 3rd pic.
I failed to do so in the shed I built at our last place & ended up having to cut a water run off channel into the concrete across the roller door line.
The swale drain should take care of any run off there might be.
now thats going to be a real shed, when i sell up the house if i buy im going to buy a shed to "live" in :)
Maybe I should keep watch with my air rifle!
The concreter was relating a tale about returning to a job in the morning & finding a heap of roo tracks & deposits in the concrete.
Not too sure if he was pulling my leg. The concrete was hard when they left today.
I’ve got the sprinkler & hoses ready to wet it down when it the weather warms up in the next few days.
Bloke’s coming back in the morning to cut ‘expansion’ lines.
Blokes gotta have a shed its his birth right lol
Good to see you are getting closer to the dream mate.
Looks like they did a pretty good job
Best of luck with the rest of the build.
Yeah, it does look good. Progress Cuppa.
Living so close and feeling guilty about not catching up for a chat more often. Seemed to have sold myself as a slave to work lately. Sounds like Apollofish is the same. We need to touch base and find a time to meet. I'm not experienced with radio issues, but willing to put some hours in with you to test at some point if you want. Will give you a ring on the weekend to see when you are going to be around over the next couple of weeks.
Normally on compacted dirt with a thickening around the edge of about 100 mm thick by 200 wide depending on the engineers specs of course
As 93Patrol says. Site is first excavated, levelled & compacted, & then boxed. A layer of crushed rock is then laid & compacted & a trench dug around the edges to form a thicker edge ‘beam’ (about double the depth of the slab) when the concrete is poured. Where there has been ‘fill’ to level the slope, holes have to be re-excavated down to ‘natural earth’ where the shed uprights are to stand. An inspector from the Master Builder’s Association was required to sign off on the excavations prior to the pour going ahead.
But yes, essentially the slab is just ‘floating’ & it is the weight of the concrete which holds the shed in place.
Don't forget to keep it wet mate hose it down and cover it with plastic if you have enough or just keep wetting it. This will allow it to dry harder and reduce the surface cracking
Yeah the concreter told me to wet it down a few times a day. Today was warm, (hotter days to follow in the next few days.) & as I was wetting it down with a hand held hose it was dry in places before I’d wet the entire slab down. I went to Bunnies & bought a roll of black builders plastic for $100 & covered it with that late this afternoon.
Catching up with Nic and Tegan for a feed and a few beers :):):)
Drop off my latest arm guard to it's new owner, I think Gecko would agree that he couldn't smile hard enough being super happy with as he chose the style of the guard and left me come up with the rest.
Stoked he is happy with the finished product
You said he would be happy so great result OD
I love my bible movies and "The Greatest Story Ever Told" is just about to start
Oh happy days
Just realised I joined up 4 years and 2 days ago
And you've still haven't been banned yet clunk.
Go you buddy
Last nightshift for 4 weeks tonight and off to perth tomorrow when I wake up to look at new(er) cars
After a horrible night, had an awesome day seeing family from down south, just chilling not doing anything it's freaking awesome and I need more days like this one.
hard to explain but since 18-9-91 the last three days have been pain free, spooky
dont know what to think, but happy as for the time being, touch wood.
All I can think of is that the nerve end has passed the bone graft.
I'll take it while I can and hope it doesn't return oh happy days lol
Latest sling got picked up this morning, another super happy customer.
Kicking back, chilling and being bored as batcrap, watching munchkin and his mate on the waterslides. At least the boys are having fun whilst I drink what is supposed to resemble coffee but tastes more like diluted tar.
Son in law dropped the Toyota on it's side yesterday reversing down a dune. He's very experienced but probably driver error/bad luck - long story but seeing the pics you can see how it happened. Why is this in the happy thread?
Because two of my grandchildren we in the car and no one got hurt, all strapped securely.
That makes me happy, take care out there.
