They started the pour for our new shed just before 7am this morning & were gone by 12.
180 square metres. 4 truckloads 25mpa concrete. Looks pretty good to me. :)

Living so close and feeling guilty about not catching up for a chat more often. Seemed to have sold myself as a slave to work lately. Sounds like Apollofish is the same. We need to touch base and find a time to meet. I'm not experienced with radio issues, but willing to put some hours in with you to test at some point if you want. Will give you a ring on the weekend to see when you are going to be around over the next couple of weeks.

As 93Patrol says. Site is first excavated, levelled & compacted, & then boxed. A layer of crushed rock is then laid & compacted & a trench dug around the edges to form a thicker edge ‘beam’ (about double the depth of the slab) when the concrete is poured. Where there has been ‘fill’ to level the slope, holes have to be re-excavated down to ‘natural earth’ where the shed uprights are to stand. An inspector from the Master Builder’s Association was required to sign off on the excavations prior to the pour going ahead.Quote:

Yeah the concreter told me to wet it down a few times a day. Today was warm, (hotter days to follow in the next few days.) & as I was wetting it down with a hand held hose it was dry in places before I’d wet the entire slab down.
