Little fella is studying up on the trip. . . . thinks we should take the Madigan Line. . . ;)
Don't know what you'd call 'em, but there are lots and lots of 'whoop de do's' or 'corrugations on steroids' on the Madigan that'd put that young bloke to sleep, up and down and up and down ...

Plenty of spots to get a good nights sleep as well.
Ok so this is my plan after Birdsville Attachment 88009
You could drop in at the Betoota Pub, that's been open for a few years now, I'm assuming it's still open.
Not a fan of that drive down to Innaminka, too stoney and dull and never seems to end.
Farina Ruins is nice place to stop for a while, or it was a few years ago.
9 weeks to go!!!

No mate anyone is welcome, bob n di are coming as well and possibly kallen n Nissa depending on their schedule, I’m thinking camp at haddon like we did last time then either Burke n wills dig tree or innamincka before Cameron corner so 3 nights, then down to farina, wilpena pound and Quorn. Nothing set in concrete.
Ok so for those not on the messenger chat, you will need to book your desert pass online and also your camping, they require you to book a site now so when you have paid online for the pass then book your camping and use the reference number of your pass to get free camping at Dalhousie .

Fitted the winch today, runva 13xp that I had on the patrol, all up and working Attachment 88013Attachment 88012
I fitted my new washer bottle on the Gq and it didn’t work. Nightmare!
Pumps working, lines are clear, manually pushed water through, what the F is going on?
I spent a good hour diagnosing it and couldn’t work it out. Swapping washer motors etc.
I then filled the entire bottle up with water and it worked straight away.
It must need an initial pressure prime. Such a simple job and I nearly punched that new washer bottle into the 4th dimension today lol

Did a trial run packing the gear into the car today, all fits without any dramas so I’m happy with it all, just trying to source an alloy sheet to screw to the roofrack to attach my Oztent and swag to so I can cover all weather.
Noticed on other threads, whilst zipping between house duties & shed Simo prep duties a few NP.com.au crossing members here might be worried about conscientious rubbish cartage [emoji3590][emoji3590]
A past life enterprise logo still attached but do have 4 available FOC for the crossing:

Suitable only for wagon rear spare tyres between 33-35”, you’ll need your own Occy/Rubber straps to secure.
Can cart the 4 x to Coober Pedy for meetup/collection, otherwise I’m beer swapping them with locals for Opal underground carry shoulder bags [emoji161][emoji736][emoji23]

8 weeks…
Time ticking….
Starting to plan food and packing now, happy days gents, bring it on!
I did a rough plan, simple trip really but the list grows when you start to think about it.
Yay!!!

Yes I’m looking at taking pre cooked vacuum sealed meals so I just need to pop them into hot water to warm them for night meals, 12v oven for midday snacks and fresh breakfast wraps, all in the fridge and freezer, also bringing the Cobb for the obligatory rack of lamb in the desert 😎
Unfortunately Mia has pulled out of this trip.
I knew she wasn’t super keen.
I just broke the news to poor Dazz.
Upside is Lachy is super excited for a boys trip and he gets front seat the whole trip.

If Mia’s mum can’t have her for 3 weeks, I’m in big trouble!!!

Going through the same scenario too Bro [emoji3590] It’s going to be all ok though [emoji736] Worst case scenario, our Little Ladies will be In-Cab crossing and their Beautiful Mothers might have to tag along in rear wheel bags [emoji161][emoji23]

My daughter is still coming, she is a little older than your kids at 35.
Got our desert parks book in the mail.
Nice map with it..

I just bought mozfog on sale 2for 1 so I’ll take both with me and turn them on to hopefully keep them repelled,.
Attachment 88035
Received my mozfog cans but will save them for the simmo, I guess I’ll find out then how well they work 🤣
I may be looking through Rose coloured glasses but I cannot remember mozzies being a problem at all?

For those not on fb chat please let me know how many are coming to dinner in Port Augusta so I can update the hotel for catering purposes.
