Nice pictures guys. Looked like a fun weekend.
Thanks for posting. Hope to make it next time.
Was great to catch up with some members on the weekend. Thanks for letting myself & daughter join you.
Trip back on the powerlines Sunday was pretty tame compared to Saturdays efforts by the looks. Quite a bit of traffic though.
yeah she did, a bit shy but working on it.
leave my dog out of it you pair!! She hasn't been the same since we got home lol

Some how I missed these
Left afatboy and his dog and on the right the mighty CLUNK
All good Clunk
@Barrakooda for some reason I thought you had a GQ any how it a really tidy unit you got yourself thereAttachment 69055
Thanks Kimbo, youre right though i did have a 93 N/A GQ but upgraded it to the GU you see in the pic about 1 1/2 year ago, what a difference. Credit has to go to previous owner who was setting it up for touring (but didnt happen). Only things ive done so far is add the roofrack & replaced the 3.9 diffs with 4.1's, also replaced the digioptions HU with a Kenwood one Thursday before the trip.
Daughter was playing her pick of music on the drive along the powerlines Sunday, then it was my turn but with the request "Dad dont play any of that old type stuff" so put on a mix of AC/DC, anyhow after 2 or 3 songs we pulled up to check a spot on the track, got back in the car & daughter had her music on again. Ahhhh the youth of today
I forgot to mention... If you're after a challenge there's some sections on the power line track which are pretty full on and would challenge a lot of well equipped vehicles and skilled drivers too.
Stropp pointed out a little rocky outcrop that apparently Clunk has mastered several times. Bloody hell, reckon I'd be lucky to fit a quad bike through it, well done I says Mr Clunk, twas definitely GQ territory with sliders ;-)
I was quite impressed by Kimbos little pre set tyre deflators too!
Where does one acquire those little presents from?
I noticed Kimbo still checked the pressure afterwards though to be sure so are they unreliable or is it just what you do to be sure?
Four of them makes efficient work, nice!
On a sad note though...
The dumped cars, asbestos, tyres and crap on that track was disappointing gents!
Is there fear of that track getting closed down over there, is there talks about that, is there pressure from other groups to close it down due to the ship dumped everywhere?
I've had my staun deflators for Over 20 years now and they are still exactly the same as the new ones on the shelf ( no change at all ) so as I always say if ur onto a good thing then stick to it ... Bit like the GQ's hahaha

Yep it's pretty disgusting that people can spend the time to dump there shit there, but dont have the time tobtake it to a dump........ 4wd groups and clubs get together at least once a year and have a clean up at the track. There's always a fear that the authorities will shut it down, there's been many talks over the years about closing it but nothings happened about it yet. Others will know more about the inner wranglings of the talks. Unfortunately it's the same in several of the more local prime spots to 4wd....... too many folk with a don't give a shit attitude
I dont use mine any more. Found the springs stuck so deflation pressures were inconsistent. Then sometimes i want 18psi and other times 25psi so had 2 set at 18 and 2 set at 25 and it took ages to deflate using only two of them. The Currie deflator, while more work, at least achieves consistent pressures and whatever pressure you want.
G`day Guys
I use the end off an old hand pump or foot pump ( the one with the lever that folds down and pushes on the valve) these hold the valve open and it takes very little time to drop pressures.
I must say that I was the last to leave the camp at the meet up and did a walk around and the place was spick and span,(didn`t even find any chunder)Well done guys and gals.
