Do you have access to any pigs macca?
Yes and no. Pigs come through our properties but never hang about. I've been looking into using inland hunting properties for pigs and such in western qld.
Here's a funny meme for you guys.
Had a Great day at the Range today with BA, George and Matty, cheers guys, got a heap of rounds off and enjoyed the day. George wasnt very excited with his .223! he only got 100 shots off!! bhahahahah! Love it.
20 Minutes from my place, winner for sure.
One of the longest days I have done at the range and enjoyed myself very much.
Managed to run in 2 rifles and help out 2 mates with there first time.

Simular. To be honest they all look very simular just the quality of camera sensors and infrared change.
Not great weather for it, but I need some meat so went chasing some sambar this afternoon, only managed to hunt down 3 leeches though :-(

Come across this shop and have spoken to Brent the owner,
he assures me there will be plenty of specials in the new year with more items being added all the time
Hmm just need the coolroom to go with it!
Haha yes cool room does make it easier. Up on mums farm thru got a trailor mounted one and aldi one of the neighbors has a full butcher shop setup at his house. Bloody good setup
Anyone interested in stainless gambrels?
One I made for my mate a while back.
12mm rod. Would easily carry a sambar
looks the goods westy would save me alot of stuffing around with sticks!
Went out chasing deer yesterday arvo, no luck at all very few signs around also. But nailed this little two for one walking out, fox with a freshly caught rabbit! 308 was a bit of overkill but keeps the farmer happy.
Nice one...err two.
Bloody long weekend.
Sent a pta off 2 weeks ago for an air rifle to get rid of a few indian mynas.
Usually the FAR send them back the day the money clears your account. Well that day was good Friday so it couldn't have been sent until the following Tuesday at the earliest. I should have well and truly recieved it by now if it wasn't for the Easter bunny.
Was chasing a few reds on the weekend, seen a dozen I reckon but all just outside bow range:(

Well as you know Matthew, Sean and myself have been up to nsw west of dubbo on a shooting trip.
We kind of used this as a stepping stone for shooting for years to come and also see if we could get other properties, we did this in glorious fashion and were well received by the locals.
A big trip is in the early stages of planning.
As for the shooting on this trip it started out very slow with the first night arriving 6 hours late because Matt is a nob..All credit to Matt he drove 17 hours, by the time we got there we went straight to sleep..
The next day Matt had work to do and Sean and I helped out... we are now qualified electricians. .ha ha.
That night we went out for our first shoot and thought we had just wasted our time and money but on 8000 acres it can take some time to find where the good shooting is.. after a couple of hours slowly started to find our groove.
The following days got better and better and we also found some time in a huge reservoir to set up a range and shoot targets at 340m.
Also walking around the old farm house was amazing and some great old wrecks and collectibles in many of the sheds.
Matt got an awesome shot on a fox with the best coat I have seen so we skinned it for a gift for seans wife...
My 243 performed beautifully and the reloads are certainly worth it.
One stupid thing I managed to do was slice my knee on my old machete. .. fark it hurt..lol
We learnt a lot from this trip and made some good contacts.. I cant get the blue of the day and the red of the evening out of my head.. just so beautiful.
Cant wait to get back to that part of the world... cheers Matt and Sean I had a ball.
did you do any homework while there or just pot luck any pigs or good billys what else did you get
How do i delete this post?
Yep mine a. 223 and like it. Have some issues with ejecting some brands of ammo but most are ok.
Gotta play around with it soon try and get some better accuracy from it but for hunting is been pretty darn good
Get onto brownells and buy the aluminum pillar blocks. The ruger action needs a 60 degree front pillar so bedding is a little bit tricker than say a round remington 700 action but I've done both so its possible.
