Depends on what the bolt is going through, buy usually there is a reason why they use fully threaded bolt over bolts with a shankQuote:

Oww nice! !. Fairlead looks good. Yeah the idea of the shank is to not bugger the housing or thread where they go through in theory. Mines just got normal bolts but it is a slight pain in the butt. . . Need to jam a screwdriver in to stop the nut turning!!
